The Husky factor I would think.

I would rather say the Chill factor.

Does not compute.

Chill is not as popular as the other casters. Also recently rather the opposite being the reason Idra is banned.

Sweden easily has the best players outside of Korea. Sjow, Jinro, Morrow, Naniwa and Thorzain.

I just cant get over the fact that people whine about Nani not trying anything beside 4gate. He FREAKING won the semi 4-1, he outclassed his opponent in such a short time.

Give me one....ONE good reason why the fuck he should try something els? To get some respect from a few tl.net members who are sore losers because there player lost?

FAce the facts, this is not a style point competition. You win the game and thats it....case closed!

Yeah. What surprises me more is that people expected anything other than 4gate, blizzard is patching it out for a reason

Lets be optimistic here:

* There will be dozens of warnings and bans for crap quality responses like "qft", "this", quoting with no content, etc.

* There is an "intermission" before EG Master's Cup.

* ThorZain vs Naniwa in the finals!! ThorZain for the millionth time is the underdog.

* In general, the best part about PvPs in tournaments: one less Protoss remains in the tournament! Hell, if I designed tournaments, I would make all Protoss matches for the first rounds be PvPs to take out 50% of the boring to watch games. That or just make "no Protoss allowed" for the sake of the spectators lol

Can't believe people are complaining about one base play in PvP.

When you're interested in seeing high-level competition and excitement and what you get to see is essentially three identical games back to back (the proxy was a deviation...that led into 4(5)gate; the first game, the one where Nani's initial push didn't insta-win, demonstrated his ability to fall on his face on demand), it's understandable to be a little disappointed with the show. No spice. No variety. It wasn't even like they were 4gating back and forth so there was some ebb and flow to the match.

Every round was the same at the core: Nani one-basing super-aggressively and Hasu trying to ride it out. That's not the way to make for an entertaining show. Every tournament has its dud rounds from an audience perspective; this one was one for TSL3, for some folks at least. No big deal.

Could have something to do with today being sunday?

well the discrepency has never been that huge, plus thorzain kas are pretty huge names

I think the following have an influence.

1) Naniwa > Thorzain in drawing viewers at this point imo.

2) Sunday factor.

3) Day9 and Husky factor, both having their own substantial fan bases compared to yesterdays casters.

he has over 460 k subs, and he posted video about him casting tsl today. I feel like a lot of people forget about that, maybe its sunday, saturday thing, but my opinion is he provides a lot of extra views.

We can be proud of our fellow swedes reaching the finals? And of course there will be nationalism, can you honestly say that you were not rooting for Hasu because he's from Germany?

How can people complain about the entertainment value of these games? didn't we all know it'd be a 4gate fest alrdy? Will always be in PvP until 1.3.3 -.-

Also this war with Swedes going all bitchy and germans going emo is just getting ridiculous

I love the nerds raging on Naniwa for 4 gating. When a game is for a chance to win 15k you do whatever you need to (in game wise) to win. Naniwa stuck to the basics because he knew he could come out on top. It doesn't matter that the basics for this matchup might be boring to you.

Feels resentment to White-Ra vs MC a month ago.

This is correct. Hasu showed some bad decision making these few games. Game 4 he did not scout for proxies and was punished with a proxy-gate into 4 gate. Every time he tried to wall off, he didn't wall off properly and let Naniwa into his base. Game 5 when it was a 4-gate battle, he chose to tech and not get sentries. This meant Naniwa straight up busted his way into Hasu's base before Hasu's tech could kick in.

If anything, Naniwa exploited Hasu's bad decision making and response to 4-gates and repeatedly punished him for it. It's as simple as that. There's $15k on the line. Naniwa is not going to leave this up to chance. If you know someone always plays Paper, it's not cheese to go Scissors. It's just the correct decision.
ModeratorA dream. Do you have one that has cursed you like that? Or maybe... a wish?

Ok, be sure to have fun watching TvT with that exciting tank placement, I mean everyone loves seeing players just gain positions, am I right?

or how about that ZvZ, aww yeah baneling micro so exciting!

PvP best mirror, I guess some people don't like seeing intense micro though.

Are you kidding me? PvP is the worst mirror.

Sir, did you not read my entire post? Because the last part then obviously applies to you:
I guess some people don't like seeing intense micro though.

I don't think TvT is only about tank placement, because there is so much you can do in a TvT. Tho there were a lot of tanks in the Kas vs. ThorZAIN games. I did however like that series much better then this.

TvT - Best mirror matchup
PvP - 2nd
ZvZ is so boring......

ZvZ is not boring if you play Zerg and know the matchup well, it's one of my favourite matchups to watch and it's probably the hardest matchup to play

The 4 gate play being too strong compared to all other pvp builds is pretty obvious. But that's also the reason why Blizzard is trying to address it in the next patch. All mirror match-ups are obviously less exciting then normal match ups. But as far as the game goes... mirrors between all races are the most technical and mechanic heavy. So please, don't hate the players.

As far as TSL3 goes I'm pretty happy with a 100% swedish final. First of all there should be no lag discussion at all, which is awesome. Secondly its the best that could happened since there wasn't any zerg players left.
