Of course they have the blackbirds sitting at the back jamming the fuck out of everything......
I would imagine they at the very least teach people how a pvp fleet "works" so to speak. I don't know if they rotate FCs for practice or whatnot, but they have to have a learning process or something other than "look, bad guys, we shoot them".
Well it looks like I just lost a cane to the same gang as michael :S, vexor on s2 agresed me so I figured Id go for it while staying aligned out and at range, as expected the blobby blob comes in so I warp out to my align point, and my cane figures out its a good moment to stay stucked in the fucking station geegee

I'm sorry, that just SCREAMS 'BAIT BAIT BAIT' at you hahahahaha.
Yeah, I didnt know that until I landed on grid with it. I knew there were two or three executioners in local, but I didnt really expect one to be in a retreiver.
was cruising around in the adjacent systems. Found a DR bustard next to an unanchoring tower. Thought hes stabbed so i asked kwark to come and help me point him. Killed him and stole the Gallente Control Tower!
1000 Person fights really aren't that common. Both sides know if you jump into that everyone will just lag out and die. Although people have reported ~500 person fights with very little lag. As the war in the north heats up we will see several very large battles though.
Most of these large fights don't even include the mass numbers from GS or Dreddit either; they are large coalitions of forces. In large, 1000+ member alliance, getting even 10% participation is huge, whereas smaller corps like mine can get 30% or more depending on urgency and TZ.
I wish I had started playing EVE back in the day. I've had trial accounts several times as the game is simply amazing, but its just so hard to get into such a complex game I never manage to stick to it.

Shame i'd love to play it properly.
That's what we're here for! I joined about 3 months ago, and if i hadnt had anyone to help/guide me, I'd have quit within a few days probably.
Hey there, So I'm not quite sure where I'm supposed to put this.. however I do need help with getting mentored as well as getting a 21 day trial. I have already attempted to contact someone through the SCBW channel in game, and I am as of yet unsure as to whether or not people are simply too busy at the moment... A response would be greatly appreciated by one of "The Hatchery" Members. Thank you.

Love it when ppl from CnP come trying to join a COMMUNITY corp with an account with only one post. TBH we have nothing to steal, and you wouldn't get access to it cause KVVark is very Stalin like.

He could just be a lurker but you're right about the nothing to steal. As massively wealthy as the corp is that money isn't held by the corp, nor an account that people get access to.

Thanks the truth, over a week for me and no luck with a mentor

The thing about massive 0.0 fights is that they have the potential to be the awesomest thing ever but right now the lag crushes souls left and right. Eve just isn't optimazed server side and while CCP is working on this they don't put a whole lot resources towards it. Even though they reinforce nodes when giant fights happen it simply isn't enough - when you're jumping into a system that has even as little as 50supercaps out once those supers drop drones there's gonna be a massive spike and there's a good chance you're gonna be stuck in gridload for atleast 30mins. Not to mention all the dickhead drake fcs that tell their pilots to shoot ungrouped launchers because it increases lag(missiles cause huge load serverside compared to turrets). And should it happen that CCP doesn't reinforce the node then it just turns to shit. I went to that fight in Uemon that happen on a DRF pos and I got there after the fighting had stopped and local had dropped to 800 or so and it still took me over 60mins to actually jump into system(when you disappear on the entry gate but nothing happens) and then another 20 to load grid on the other side and another 20 when I landed on the pos grid.
Here's a pretty informative video on how exactly tq acts during giant fight and why masstesting is important.
