Riku, I seem to remember reading on a cosplay site somewhere that you can make foam/papier mache armor look pretty good and sorta realistic by coating it with fiberglass resin (from an auto parts store) before you paint it. I did a quick search online and it doesn't seem like it's that expensive, relatively speaking. I'm at work right now so I don't have the link bookmarked, but when I get home later I'll try to post the link here for you. :3
Props on your Alexstrazsa costume, btw! I remember seeing you at Blizzcon and thinking, "That chick's got serious ovaries." You owned that costume.

That or a dark templar i think would be really cool.
... I am officially in love.
In all seriousness, A. You are a freaking champion, to be a nerdy chick who is willing to wear something that...requires grooming in a place so jam packed with nerds. (this is not an insult to blizzcon goers, I go every year and call myself a nerd, this is not an insult to attendees) B. You should totally go as the chick with the pink hair from SC2 campaign. That hot pink hair is flippin awsome. And the ghost costumes always look the best because they aren't too terribly hard to imitate, and the real work on these costumes goes into the small details like the contacts and leds and such.
some1 cosplayed as Selendis last year. i have a pic of her it's in one of my old blizzcon blogs from last year.
I vote you dont do Nova cause its so popular, same as Kerrigan.
Since I got bored today. I've had this account since... 2008? Was stalking Sean, hahahaha.
But... Do people know me? O.o; I've had a lot of people seem to know who I am, which I am rather baffled by, since googling Riku is way too unspecific. Admittedly, my Alexstrasza cosplay isn't hard to find, but someone knew all of the cosplay I have done! That I don't have posted almost anywhere!
:O
I art confused.

Haha, thank you! Are there any good reference pictures for the pink haired gal? I don't know what to search to find her.

That Wired.com article that someone linked earlier has your real name in it, and a quick google search on it turns up your deviantart profile.
