I think they are out of line and I don't think anyone would say them to my face. However, it is the Internet and the Internet says what it damn well pleases and that is going to stop me from making the costumes I want, saying the things I believe or doing the activities I love.
Not going to lie, as crude as some of them are, they can be somewhat flattering. I think most girls won't admit it, but I'm not going to lie. If a guy finds me attractive enough that he wants to tell the whole world how he got himself off to me, well, then I guess I can count that as a compliment to my look, right? Haha, I don't approve of what a lot of people say about me, but I don't get upset about it either.

Imho just mix and match what you like best/is affordable for you. Most people only know Mira by her face(from the campaign), so you should focus on pink hairstyle, 1 red contactlense, fake scars and headband with glowing goggles.
If you like going in a bikini costume(Cosplayers are showoffs, there I said it) you should in my opinion still go with one shoulder plate and the grenade belt and maybe pants in favor of naked legs
I can´t imagine a mercenary with naked legs. Mercenaries should, like real world soldiers, probably carry quite some equipment. (different kits for first aid, cleaning guns etc.) Here is a pic for reference: + Show Spoiler +

Would be even more appropriate from a guy named "Stalker".
If you want to do a more minor character I think Mira Han is a good choice.
Many of the units are hard to represent given the shape of the human body and I don't think they tend to come out very well.
The only problem is Mira Han does not give you a lot of room for creativity.
Other then that, I thought Selendis was another really good suggestion. I know you said you didn't want to do it, but I think perhaps you should reconsider. Yeah, you can't do certain parts of the body justice, but thats true of many cosplays. Plus you can be a little bit more creative with Selendis.
Oh boy oh boy does that sunken colony ever look sexy. Should prolly go with a ghost, like Nova or human Kerri. If you could pull off the costume, though, Selendis would be amazing. It would probably be quite a bit tougher though.
