Since I got bored today. I've had this account since... 2008? Was stalking Sean, hahahaha.
But... Do people know me? O.o; I've had a lot of people seem to know who I am, which I am rather baffled by, since googling Riku is way too unspecific. Admittedly, my Alexstrasza cosplay isn't hard to find, but someone knew all of the cosplay I have done! That I don't have posted almost anywhere!
:O
I art confused.
I've raided with you on WoW before And I believe you were in my guild briefly.
The world is so small!! Which guild?
Game Over
Ahhhh... well, I've never had my main in that guild, but my punk little disc priest Moonshine definitely was in there. I was buddies with Nudist and made what's-her-face hate me by simply existing (I don't get along well with other females for some odd reason).

Hahaha, no shame! No shame! I'm glad you enjoyed my costume. Come bug me if you see me at next Blizzcon, you wouldn't believe how weird it is to have everyone take your photo but no one ever try to talk to you!

Standing up is a zergling and when crouched down you become a baneling!
That would be ridiculously awesome and... well, even as an engineer, I can't see myself making that easily, if at all.

Hmmm this moonshine sounds very similar to the moonshine in the Aion legion I made... Interesting lol...
(I always say I'm gonna cosplay, but I never get around to making a costume because I'm a magnificent procrastinator, lol. I do like to dream about making costumes, though.)

Ah, thank you! That looks like a good source for expanding my knowledge!

It's the struggle for male attention in female-poor communities.
The few times I played MMORPGs, I realized that if I ignored a "hot gurl" in a group, everyone ignored me. It was sort of the link between all the others. Another time, people were being extra nice to me, and I thought, oh cool, a nice community. But it was because my nick sounded feminine and they assumed I was a girl. It was an awkward realization.
But I hear my internets are changing and that girls start to like online stuff. But until we have 50/50 we will have "hot gurls" who receive way too much attention for what is fit for male dignity!
About cosplays, I think a zerg cosplay would be difficult but more fun; it won't be serious, that's for sure. On the other hand, Terran can be pulled off in quite a "cool" way - any infantry unit could possibly look realistic. But if you want to be original, go as a ship or a doodad.

OK enough people have LOLed at this that I wasn't going to quote it, but after laughing out loud for real for at least the 6th time as this pic scrolled by I had to. This is my favorite thing today

My RL friend plays with me occasionally, and he's one of those people who claims everything is OP that kills him. He was ranting about how hideously OP she was. I'm like, "No dude, just dodge the spear!" lol...
On topic, I think Kerrigan, while supremely hawt, is overdone. But Ghost Nova would be epic if you could pull the costume off.

I could never ask for donations! While I enjoy and love cosplay greatly, my skills are far.under those worth funding! There are much better artist out there who could use the support and I would hate to take away any support that could be for them just because i'm a girl.

Ah, yes, I am well aware of the unfortunate drama of MMOs. When I fist started playing WoW I was 16 and completely unaware of it (my first day I made a thread called "new dr00d looking for friends"). I eventually learned many a lessen and, now when someone out of guild asks if i'm a girl, I tell them i'm a bear. ;D
As for cosplay, yeah, i'm really digging the idea of a baneling or mech form of a terran unit. A few pages ago I posted my sketch of a Raven mech chick I quickly drew up and I think it would be super fun to create. My zerg love pushes me towards the baneling, though...

I'm making it for PAX, so it probably won't be finished until the middle of August!!

Nidalee is a badass, but really not super OP. I think the most OP part of her isn't her spear (it is rather easy to avoid), it's her ability to run away! With +15% movement speed in bushes and 2 seconds after leaving them, combined with her pounce on a 4 second CD in cougar, she can run away from ANYONE. I've had entire teams chase after me and still fail to kill me!! :D
Though I would probably make a main costume, it IS always nice to have a more-normal set of clothes to wander around in. I think this would be a good way to be in costume and comfortable on my day off from the more hard-core cosplay.
My suggestion would be to go as Kate Lockwell, then get a guy to go with you as Donny Vermillion. Then do mock interviews all throughout the convention.

Such a good idea. Haha.
Plus, you could wear the totally baller Handsome Nerd shirt you would need for the costume in your day to day life!
