Look at his recent results at TLPD. Beating Mondragon, Darkforce, Painuser, MarineKing, Check, Idra, Kas and Sjow lately, I doubt anyone overrates him.
I think Naniwa is definitely better than him tho.

Oh dear... I want Boxer to win... But I also want Hasu to win
|
BoxeR! I could read his interviews all day.
Nanina's comment confuses me. Cruncher isn't overrated, everyone know's he's terrible.

imagine BoxeR vs MC finals and BoxeR wining 4-3?
just the tought gives me nerd chills

I really hope BoxeR gets to the finals, so he can visit the US!

BoxeR You can't not love this guy. But he or hasu has to leave next round and thats sad
Mondi played some awesome game in game2, and still lost, i was soooo angry then. Well, crunchi will get crunched in Ro8 where he has to play some skilled, non-Z player. Also i cant believe Mondi's manners, he even says good luck for the next round... he is not even a little bit angry (or does not show it, which is almost the same) after losing in such fashion. Next round PvP, we cant win, but that means we cant lose either: one less protoss

If anything cruncher is underrated, people think he sucks despite him continuing to put up results.
|
I think Cruncher beat kiwikaki when he won a TL open to qualify also.
He's definately underated, but still the underdog here imo

Can anybody fill me up about the Naniwa and NASL story? I seem to have missed something...
|
isn't it a little sad, that there is no hasuobs fanclub? i mean we have a fanclub for everybody but for him.
would make one myself, but I'm afraid I won't update regularly...

Naniwa had just flown in from dreamhack when it was time to play his nasl match. He asked for some time to rest, and his opponent (strelock? Doesn't really matter who it was) said okay; however, Naniwa wasn't in the bnet channel so he apparently didnt know about the change. When it was time for the match to actually start, Naniwa didn't show up and then he logged on and started playing a ladder game, so nasl gave his opponent a walkover.
Apparently there is another side of the story; nasl said that they were not assigning any losses to Naniwa because they "could have communicated better," and Naniwa says here that the public view is wrong.
I actually really respect his decision not to badmouth the league or his opponent; it's good manner and good sense, since he should do really well in the league it's in his own interest for it to be legitimate.

My favorite part of the Boxer interview and typical of why I am a fan. When told his drops worked so well, his response was:
Honestly I didn't think do as much damage as I wanted... you're being too kind.
Using harassment to create a low-econ state for both players is my strength and weakness at the same time -_-;; but I'll work to accentuate the strength side.
I like the self-analysis and understanding of weakness. The humility is great too. I hope he sorts out whatever he needs to and continues in the tournament.
go boxer!
(Just watched him get to R016 in GSL!)

go boxer!!! hope you make the finals

I cannot wait to watch NaNiwa decimate Cruncher! In my own (and very zerg-biased) opinion Cruncher is being carried by the flavour of the month protoss tactics that people are yet to familiarize with. Turtle at home 'till 200/200 and then move out, its no wonder he defeats the abundance of zeg players he runs into because quite frankly there is no obvious answer to the big old deathball, barring insane macro.
That being said; SO sad to see all the zerg players exit. I hate to call imbalance but yeah well. Recent numbers speak for themselves, I would love to see some infestor play evolve soon.
What a packed RO8! MC vs ThorZaIN I kinda see MC taking down without bigger problems, unless ThorZaIN can again come up with a great build. AdelScott vs Kas will be truly epic, even the thought gives me chills and even though I think Kas is an absolute baller I hope AdelScott will take him out because his playstyle is just so beautiful and entertaining to watch. BoXer vs Hasu I simply cannot pick a favorite, but yeah as mentioned I so hope NaNiwa crushes Cruncher because he is the better player without a doubt.
Best-case scenario for RO4: ThorZaIN vs AdelScott and BoXer vs NaNiwa, preferably with BoXer and AdelScott ending up in the finals to avoid too many mirrors. Worst case scenario would be if MC, Adel and Hasu all 3 advanced to make RO4 and the finals a pure PvP.

I know that nicknames are nicknames, but why did Kim Ga-yeon choose Jessica? Is there a particular reason? Or she justs likes that "western" name?
|
These were great write-ups for the matches and generally food interviews. I found everyone to be mannered, especially BoxeR. I am loving NanNiwa's new-found cockiness after his MLG win too.
|
Ah yes, the infamous games vs. Yellow - can't believe Boxer is rubbing that in even 7 years later xD Thanks for yet another great recap and the interviews, looking forward to Ro 8.

As long as we keep our passion as progamers, we will always have an opportunity to meet again. On a purely personal note, I'd like to show him the beauty of infinitely repeating Starcraft 2 bunkers. OMG LOLOL
