Sen Rainbow Ace Ensnare ClouD Artosis Went with all safe players except for 2 sleepers in ClouD and Artosis I think Artosis is too committed to SC in general to let himself lose badly and get embarrassed.

The point system isn't that big of a deal and its decent A player that goes 5-5 gets 10 points. A player that goes 10-0 gets 30 points + a maximum of 20 points from the final 16, so someone who crushes the entire tournament gets 50. Most favorites are probably ranked 250+. If you pick the good deals up at 50, you'll beat whoever picks the winner. Rereading the rules part on the website, it seems that maybe each win in a bo3 counts as 3 points meaning max 6 points per matchup? Although my point still stands. I don't even know what your point is On March 30 2011 10:14 wattra wrote: Show nested quote + A player that goes 10-0 gets 30 points + a maximum of 20 points from the final 16, so someone who crushes the entire tournament gets 50. Every MAP win is worth 3 points in the round robin. 9 BO3 with no loses means 18 wins x 3 points = 54 point maximum for the round robin. In the final 16 every map win is worth 5 points. First 2 rounds are BO3, Semi final is BO5, Final is BO7 totaling 11 possible wins x 5 points per win = 55 points. Additionally everyone that makes it directly out of their group into the Final 16 gets a bonus 12 points. The bracket played out by the players ranked 11 - 30 after the round robin are BO3s scored at 3 points per map win. So if a player goes undefeated they will get 121 points Hm. In that case, if a player goes 5-5, 2-1 each time (simplifies math), they will get 30 points each. This will put many of them into the bracket for 11-30, so lets say 35? points. If MC crushes, he's still not going to win every game so lets round to say, 110 points if he dominates. Point is, rather than picking MC for 500 points, you will get more points for picking an assortment of players at 50/100 points each who go 5-5ish, since there are lots of undervalued names in that range.

A good way of gauging the chances of the individual players is to look at betting-websites. They make a living from figuring out the percentages and it might be a good place to take inspiration from. Also, you could perhaps set some limits. Shoud for instance everyone have one player from every race?

Same goes for some of the 100s: Socke, Cloud and Naniwa are pretty solid picks. On the other hand, there is no way MC is going undefeated or anywhere close to undefeated to be worth 500. July at 400 is already quiet expensive but he has at least somewhat realistic chances to pay off. Picking Nada at 350 is a guarantee for a low score at the end of NASL. And here is the winning team: mOOnglade Squirtle Grubby QXC Naniwa Socke ClouD HasuObs Mana Strelok Sheth Axslav

MC TLO Squirtle QXC Haypro SeleCT Socke Strelok I can't believe Strelok was @50 and Socke @100. Both of them will definitely bring a good return for the investment. MC is an obvious pick and you can't go wrong with him. Squirtle will finish top 4 in Div 3 since it is an easier division. Haypro is a big gamble which pins its hope on him breaking his slump and showing a strong finish. TLO is a fan pick. Select/Qxc have shown that they compete with the best often enough that they are easy picks @150.
