But I got really into them when I was younger 12-19
Got pretty deep into the CS community from the get go, went to LAN's when I could convince my mom or dad to drop me off (which was a rarity; they had the assumption that I would get abducted or who knows what), Farthest I got was going CAL-M but made a few CAL-I connections and tried out for a few lower tier CAL-I clans and a few higher team CAL-M clans but never 'made it'
Broodwar was much the same, I had aspirations to travel to Chicago one day and play in a WCG, all but a pipe dream for me and my best friend at the time. We'd play when we could but we could never get above 'B' on the old WGTour. We also could never fathom somehow getting money to play WDT or any the pay to play ladders.
But now years later I sit a 23 year OLD man who recently has the urge to take a dive back into the competitive gaming scene. I rarely played SC2 upon release, although I waited for the game for god knows how long, I got diamond quickly and kinda got absorbed in career stuff (fucking jobs... xD)
So I guess this is my kick off blog to becoming active, to becoming better, and becoming really active in this community that I've lurked for so many years. (check out my profile... yeah don't let my post count fool you )
