I've watched maybe 4 or 5 of the commentaries and I am appalled by how rude the commentators are. Sayle seems respectful for the most part... but the other two commentators have consistently been total assholes who come across as completely obnoxious rather than funny. The closest thing they do to contributing to the commentary is occasionally dedicating a brief window of time for guessing which build they think a player is going for. Aside from that they spend their full energy viciously insulting the players for not having multitasking abilities and game sense equivalent to the Koreans that we are all accustomed to seeing. Please stop using theses commentaries as a god damn ego trip.

It's a bit of fun, at the end of the day these players aren't Korean level and I think they're commentating appropriately.

Maybe you should bump some old Day[9] threads with his commentaries and give insult to his bashing of other players. Good players ALWAYS have and ALWAYS will have the right to bash on worse players. No, they do not.

Anyone has the right to bash on anyone. Knowing the when and how divides the men from the boys.

Ok what I mean to say is would it kill you to say something nice once in a while? Even if the players "deserve" to be trashed for not meeting your standard... the good things a player will do are often so much harder to detect than the obvious mess ups and miss micros. So as long as we are boasting a casting crew that sports a better understanding of the game than the majority of casters (sc2)... why not put it to good use rather than just lol'ing over and over again about some blatant slip up. And day9 trashed players directly before going into extensive explanations of what blunders they were making... often illuminating less obvious mistakes in the process for the sake of educational purposes.

Or praise how good Patron is. Would just be nice if you would handle all the players more or less equal. Personally I don't have a problem with your bashing style, gives me good laughs but what felt really weird was how you only pointed out semihs good moves (when I thought it wasnt anything extraordinary).

Yeah, but this is Starcraft, just a game btw, and you could be nice once in a while in your comments in game. Anyway, I suppose you guys won't cast all the games, so how will you pick which matches to watch?

It's not to make yourself sound gosu. It's to provide entertainment. It's more fun when the game is hyped. It's boring and lame when you make all the players sound like they suck, which they don't.

There's a poll here to vote on which games you want during the live cast today: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=203138¤tpage=3 Any games we don't get to will be done tomorrow during the replays cast and possibly on Monday as well if we still don't get to all of them.
