I don't envy whoever has to make those decisions. Obviously ALL of the Koreans who have and might potentially still apply won't be getting in. That would barely leave room for any foreigners. But some are obvious ones, like NaDa, July and MC. And I'd think a few more than that should ideally be let in. Something like 10-15 Korean invites would be good, I think. Any lower than that and you'd have to exclude too many who actually took the effort to make a video of themselves in a language they either don't speak at all or probably not very well, something they knew would be public. That's no small thing. There is a significant number on TL who would prefer this tournament be all Korean because Koreans are the best players. Since its fairly easy to find 50 Koreans that are better than all the foreigners outside of Korea (code A > US+EU+Athene), you must have either an ALL-Korean league or no Koreans at all. Middle grounds, grey areas, and places where people meet half way do NOT exist! Anybody stating otherwise will be seen as biased and delusional. In other words, it sucks to be Xeris right now that's not 100% true either, the vast majority of us that say koreans should be allowed because their the best, doesn't mean we ONLY want koreans in this tournament, we just want them to be represented in a fair amount also based on a fair system, not just some arbitrary 5 from korea. But that's off topic from this thread, lets keep it about the vods! woo OGS FIGHTING! Fair would mean at least 45 koreans. It will never be "fair" and people will never be content, no matter what NASL decides. But people should not forget that this is NASLs decision. Its their money that is on the line here, and they have to make a decision that they think is best for their business. That's not true either, why is 45 fair. TSL had full disclosure about how they did their invitations, and no one is giving them flak, and there's fair representation from all sorts of nations and regions because they were fair about it. you don't have to invite 45 koreans to make it "fair", but 5 doesn't sound "fair" either. But I do agree, it's NASL's decision, and i hope they make a good one. In either case, MC's video is so awesome. especially when he tells Huk that if he wasn't nervous, he could make finals, but he'd be the champion, buahaha. so confident.

Until they have to say who got in and who got rejected, at least. :lol On March 17 2011 08:22 Miena wrote: Hmmm, Nasl website says videos were due on the 10th and 11th or something. I want to see the foreigners competing with the koreans. I think that makes the league a lot more legitimate as a whole and is much more likely to draw in viewers than just north american players.

TSL invites was basically the most popular Koreans (not the best skillwise) + the team liquid players. I have no idea why they did not get more flak for that, but I guess its because this site is team liquid.

I wonder what's going to happen with this due date thing. I wonder when the Koreans even found out about it and if anyone even bothered to translate a due date to them. I expect that NASL will just disqualify all the Koreans with the due date and make their lives easier not having to pick from all these Korean superstars. Wouldn't that be hilarious/horrible? Xeris said on TL that they'll be handling the "not meeting deadlines" case by case This is for all the people who are worried/happy about the koreans missing deadlines.

We're not the ones who made a teaser trailer claiming "the best the world has ever seen". but even then, just inviting SOME korean's would be better for the tournament, xeris has even indicated he's in contact with them to get some in. also compared to the total size of the TSL3, the # of korean invites is more representative versus 5 out of 50 as people are suggesting here.
