based on ELO alone, out of the top 50, only 14 would be from korea. that sounds about fair.

That would make life such easier for everyone lol except that Koreans ELO is on a different scale than EU or NA

Something like 10-15 Korean invites would be good, I think. Any lower than that and you'd have to exclude too many who actually took the effort to make a video of themselves in a language they either don't speak at all or probably not very well, something they knew would be public. That's no small thing. I feel more than 10 is too much. Just like in the Olympics some events would be a joke if they didn't cap on nationality. I believe the same might be true for NASL. I don't understand the argument that they should get in on sympathy, if that was the case everyone that made a video should get in really.
The Olympics are supposed to be Nation vs nation. There is no such sentiment in NASL.

Hopefully every single oGs member gets in. I mean, it's probably a fair statement to say they're better than 95% of NA pros.

One thing I don't get though - I thought Jinro/Huk didn't apply because they needed to leave room for GSL Code S. How can the Code S OGS guys do this and Jinro/Huk not? I wasnt comfortable with the times in combination with playing Code S games, on potentially the same day... Im not sure how I feel about the decision given how many koreans signed up anyway, but my reasoning was that Im not nearly as good at falling asleep at random times as most every korean Ive ever met seems to be (i.e they can play until 7, sleep 5 hours, wake up, play, sleep 2 hours after dinner and just be fine... Id end up with a wasted day). Anyway, I dunno, its too late to change anything now and I have lots of tournaments going anyway.
Worst case, you can enter either of the tournaments to qualify for next season!

Idra vs Zenio would make for some nice rivalry drama. iNcontrol is always talking about how he wants rivalry drama.

Hope at least most of the big stars get in, will make NASL truly epic.

User was warned for this post Well, it's not really comparable, and I certainly don't advocate the NASL guys to make any decisions based on ELO rating or money winnings. :D
That spreadsheet is just something fun to play around with, and a good way to keep track of all the applicants and details about them in one place.

Is there anyone in Korea that can help team IM and team Prime to make videos? I'd love to see MVP, Nestea, Losira, and MKP

HAHA Ensnare "He called me Faggot" Man these videos give me more laughs then the picture thread.

haha nada is so cute. Would be something special for most of the players playing alongside such a legend in this tournament O_o

yeah, only IM and prime missing pretty much to my knowledge (slayers seem to work on it)

I feel crazy bad for the people who have to make the decisions for the NASL.
No matter who they pick, they are going to get flak for not getting one player over another. I hope cooler heads prevail.
Sooooooo many good players applying. I wish they could make it more than 50 people.

There is a significant number on TL who would prefer this tournament be all Korean because Koreans are the best players. Since its fairly easy to find 50 Koreans that are better than all the foreigners outside of Korea (code A > US+EU+Athene), you must have either an ALL-Korean league or no Koreans at all. Middle grounds, grey areas, and places where people meet half way do NOT exist! Anybody stating otherwise will be seen as biased and delusional.
In other words, it sucks to be Xeris right now
