QUESTION: Why is it that there are moderators with 6k posts, and are great people and moderate and stuff, but the Uber rare 13k poster like Cambrian isn't a moderator?
There are actually higher postcount users (konadora comes to mind) that arn't moderators.
Need a high quality of posting, dedication to the site, and usually some sort of pet project that you carry to completion. You can point to almost every staff member and figure out what they did/took charge of in order to become staff; for those that you can't, they probably did writing, translations, graphics, etc for just about forever before they were promoted

Hey, guys, since the invaders of Korea live in the Ogs house, maybe they could share some of the Korean training process wisdom with the rest of the world?
I mean, probably, they - the Korean pros - don't just go laddering all day, do they? There probably are some guidelines or something... or that's like top secret and stuff...?

A lot of tl vets don't have any desire to become staff. They're happy just enjoying the community and contributing in their own ways. It's not a progression in my opinion, post count and age aren't necessarily a barrier to staffhood if you quickly make a name for yourself by your desire to contribute and your dedication and likewise you can't become staff without them.

Admins can give people custom icons, so yes.

Sorry if that has already been asked, but what's the reason for the horse in the TL logo and in the background at the top of the page? Do/did the creators of the page have some serious love for horses, do/did they ride or do they just admire the manliness of a well built stallion? :>
