I have no idea what is up with him lately. He makes a decent thread in general that spawns interesting discussion and calls that successful trolling. Seems like he us slowly transforming into a model poster without realizing it. Oh the irony. That one page with like 5 straight tdot bans and then the pic of shooting buffalo from the train was PRICELESS. my question is, is there any way for the TL gallery started again? I'd love to see what all of the users look like, not to mention getting my picture in there too!

For some reason I feel like the little icons should be colored, with blue terran units, green protoss units, and red zerg units.
but that's just me.
QUESTION: Why is it that there are moderators with 6k posts, and are great people and moderate and stuff, but the Uber rare 13k poster like Cambrian isn't a moderator?

I never understood the whole thing with CharlieMurphy. This is gonna sound incredibly stupid, but is he the REAL Charlie Murphy?

I know that they are BroodWar icons because that is where the board began, and I'm not in any way suggesting to remove them, but have you guys ever thought of adding Starcraft 2 icons, maybe giving an option for posters to have one or the other? Like so people who still identify more with BW can keep the BW icons but newer players or general posters who identify more with SC2 can have icons representative of their game.

If the "real" Charlie Murphy was a white dude in his 20s, then yes.

Omg yes, I think it would be great to have a "sc2 or sc1 choice" in the profile, and you can choose race too. so six categories total.
a) Real Charlie Murphy? b) How does Charlie murphy's account answer my question?
Another question: Why is it that a perfectly good thread doesn't have any replies? When it's about a popular topic? http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=197831

This has been asked multiple times earlier in the thread. The mods and admins have said that there are plans to implement this system, or at the very least, they are discussing the issue. Unfortunately for you, TeamLiquid staff have a pretty big list of things they plan on doing, and as many people can attest, nothing is released until it's perfected. So, I wouldn't count on seeing SCII icons any time soon, especially since I can't imagine them being too high on the priority list.
There was an exception, though; before Motbob obtained his writer icon, he had a Stalker icon for a little while. As far as I know, that's a singularity.

No, it's not the real Charlie Murphy. I think that account link answers your question perfectly, though, because Charlie was the dictionary definition of "bad poster". Despite his long term of registration here, and his monolithic post count of over 22,000, his list of transgressions here was monstrous.
There are two things that can happen to a user with a high post count. They will either be recognized by the admins and recruited into TL staff, or eventually get perma-banned because their posts just start to suck the D. Too many people follow the latter path, and I think Nazgul and the gang realize this. High post count doesn't necessarily equate to good posting, and while Cambium might be an exception (I'm not too familiar with his post history), staff members generally have a history of outstanding posting and/or contribution to the site. Charlie and his kin haven't really done either. No offense to Mr. Murphy, of course.
Essentially, yes. Thought-provoking, controversial, and "flavor-of-the-week" threads tend to receive more hits. Many smaller threads have a regular userbase, such as the Touhou thread and the TL Minecraft Server thread, but those tend to have far smaller audiences than, say, the YouTube thread or the Anime thread. Your LEGO thread, while well-planned and organized, doesn't seem to hold the fanbase that others might.
