She seems like a bright personality, and apparently has decent experience in the game from a player's stand-point. As long as she works on her pronunciation when it comes to fast-action sequences, I personally think she could do a great job, especially with another good caster by her side.
I really honestly hope she gets her chance.

But her pronunciation when it comes to fast-action sequences is beyond understanding, her in-game experience doesn't seem to show at all, and I personally think she's going to do a terrible job, even with another good caster by her side.
I really honestly hope she doesn't ruin my most favourite tournament in the world.

I have high hopes for totalbiscuit!

I just want Tastosis to cast everything. Even DJ9 aren't as entertaining.

I really am looking forward to this announcement. Hopefully they will be of equal (or close) quality to Tastosis.

:p very clevar!
The voice thing seems to be the only well-founded criticism people have (too few casts to truly gauge her game-knowloedge), and it's definitely far from perfect. But what people somehow don't seem to factor in is the rather blindly obvious fact that GOM is not run by gibbering morons.
Is it impossible for her to improve on her voice? Is there absolutely no chance in hell GOM hired someone willing and prepared to work extremely hard on improving herself, on her most obvious and most heavily criticised flaw (that will no doubt have been discussed during the screening/interview procedure)?
If I'm to extrapolate from some of the posts on these forums I'd have to return a resounding "herp-derp-dee-derp-NOOOOO!", because they've obviously come to the conclusion that GOM don't give a damn about having their casts understood by anybody anywhere, because they just want you to sit and stare at boobs for an hour each day, because that's what will make them money and spread e-sports around the world in the most efficient manner.
Sheez dude/s, get a grip - believe it or not *everyone* involved in this wants to make the GSL as succesful as possible and is trying to make the best decisions they can to achieve that goal.
Or I'm wrong. But whatever - I'll be watching ^_^

I'm sure GOM has been having a ton of thought and possibly hesitation over their upcoming decision. According to Carefoot's livestream of the GSL Code A qualifiers some weeks ago, John was caught mentioning to Torch and Carefoot that the Code A casters would be announced on the subsequent Monday, though that never happened. Despite all our criticisms, they might've seen something in Kelly that we did not, and it may entirely be possible that they may be having a pool of casters.
I, for one, look forward to this very belated announcement.

I'm not sure who's more racist, the people in this thread or the people who moved their children out of school because black kids were moving in.
I hope Wolf is the second caster, I've been hoping he'd get in ever since I saw that he applied. I think the experience will be great for both of them and I'm sure they'll both improve immensely, not just from being with GOM but also because I'm sure Dan and Nick will be mentoring them on some level.

I just hope she didn't lose the job by accident, leaking it before it was official. Would kind of suck for her.

^This. you guys seriously need to work better at being nice and not bash someone from just one cast. she might not be perfect now, but there's room for improvement.

But the thing is this is the GSL this is not for people to improve, we want the best there are plenty of other tournaments who want casters which is where people should improve.

If TotalBiscuit got the job it would single handedly ruin Code A for me. I find his voice and the things he says about/during the game highly annoying.

Dude, it's not just one cast. I've been trying to listen to her casting over a period of weeks. It's never been enjoyable.

I'm practically quoting myself by saying it in this thread after the other, but if your case for Kelly is "there is room for improvement" it's really not much of an argument in her favor.

Bit surprised by that statement lol I hate American accents too just something about it that is extremely irritating, just because like every movie and TV has American actors doesn't mean I have to like it ... We're Australian, we lumped the American accent together, same as you lump the Australian accent together, where it slightly differs state to state.
And to al of those saying it's racist, that's just an immature statement based off buzz words to jolt false support. Theres no rascism at all in this thread.

If you want to listen to her cast, go ahead, I'm sure she has a channel or something, she does a decent job but I'm not paying to hear her

Too many white-knights out there truly believe that this is a sexist community.
Look, I'm pretty sure the SC community would welcome a well spoken female caster with open arms if she had the personality/skill/voice to meet those credentials. I think you can see from the overall dissent that this is not the case here, plain and simple. Don't make this anymore that it needs to be, it's, I think a lot of people really enjoy the GSL and to replace Tastetosis for Code A, it needs to be Legit.

Not only welcome a female caster, but I'm sure 95% of TL would love a good female caster. Look at how crazy people went when there was a female at the GSL3 Open Qualifiers

Female casters are very hard to find. It takes a very special woman to be able to cast SC2 and command respect from the viewers the way the Korean female casters do. Kellymilkies does not possess these qualities, in my opinion.
