. I'm not sure where racism would come in from being as we are all talking about her voice and not being able to understand her... ps
99% of the people here more than likely subscribe to GOM which is full of koreans... that makes sense.
Racism against the asians!!!!!

Petty xenophobia? I think you need to find your dictionary and look up the meaning of the word. I think a lot of people are complaining because they know her style and dislike it... they aren't complaining because they fear what she might do as an unknown element.

My opinion on Kelly is not about her not having american accent (and most certainly not about her gender!), it is just that her general grasp of english does not feel sufficient for the task.
It is probably something she can improve a lot on with practise, but the GSL stream is not the correct arena to practise language.
Edit: I am really happy that GOMTV gets more casters though, tastosis performance suffered badly when casting 10 games a day, as you would expect. 5 matches on a day, 5 days a week is a huge effort in itself.

I've been lurking these forums pretty much every day since Starcraft 2 came out, and i just signed up so that i could tell you that i despise people who thinks like you do. Basically you're saying that:
If you don't like this girl = You're racist/xenophobic
Where's the pages and pages of concerns over the two asians who commented while tastosis were off to Blizzcon? Those two were fucking great commentators, especially compared to this chick. I liked them, and i would cry tears of joy if they chose any/or both of them over her. The worst thing is that this tactics actually works, people actually get scared of speaking their mind over someones flaws when you accuse them of being racist, and you get what you want. Did it ever occur to you that people simply do not want her to cast the GSL because her accent wants me to tear out my fucking eardrums? If you actually believe the things you just posted, then you should contact the nearest psychiatric hospital and tell them that you've got something called a paranoid personality disorder - they'll help you out.

Ironically, by playing the race-card without fully comprehending the complaints, you've brought the thread down even lower.

What are you talking about. It is obvious that everyone who complains about this women is racist and sexist. Look at this page called team liquid. Everyone hating on the korean pro-scene. For every major event or tournament in the korean broodwar or sc2-scene there is a thread for bashing them and and arguing why they are the worst players and people in the world. They even have a power ranking of the koreans they hate the most. Everyone in the strategy forum and on the general forum bashes the korean sc2 ladder and calls them trash saying that everyone outside korea is way superior. Dont you see what happens anytime a korean pro is invited to an international tournament. There is basicly an outrage. Could you imagine what would happen if someone like FlaSh who was leading the power-rank of most hated players here on tl would be chosen for something like that. There would be so much hate, just because he is korean. Havent you read what the people on this page are doing to this poor girl called Tossgirl. Noone likes her, just because she is a korean and even worse ... a girl. Come on man look around. And if someone actually likes those players the mod make damn sure those people get banned asap. The worst part though is, that this site is international. So many people from so many countries. Dont you see the many faction for every country ...all bashing on each other and stuff for beeing different?
Now reverse what i said and you have the real team liquid community. An international website dedicated to starcraft 1 and starcraft 2 which is basicly a place to pray to our bw and sc2 heroes no matter where they are from or which gender they might have. So you are damn right that using the race or gender card on this homepage is one of the most ****** things i can imagine. I hope i dont have to point out which one of those two parts is the sarcastic one.

We're not. I however, require a caster the can speak English well, and I don't have total faith in her.
That is what i am trying to say. People have legitimate concerns. Talking about racism and sexism in a community like this is just plain *****. That is the furthest away you can get from the truth.

Taking on "KellyMilkies" is probably the worst decision made in eSports history.

I think she did OK for her first day. It wasn't as good as Tasteless/Artosis, but it was ok. Besides, this is CODE A.
The only reason I would watch those is because of the foreigners playing. I think CODE S is where the best games are played.
