No shame for the Dong that he lost, but he played kind of... worse than he can. Anyone else thinks that he could do more with his first muta+ling attack? Because any BO has at least one advantage against any of other BOs, and that's the idea that granted JD so ridiculous dominance in ZvZ earlier (p.e.: 12 hatch is ahead of 9 pool in economy, so if enemy wastes (or you make him waste) some precious seconds - he will fall behind (watch Jaedong vs Zerg on Aztec the ones who don't know about this game)). So - 12 pool is ahead of 12 hatch in muta timing, so you can use your timing advantage to the fullest, and you must do so. But JD flew away in that timing - and since this, time was working only against him. Still, I think despite being JD's fan myself this was a great series. Both series of 1/2 MSL went actually as we expected them to be (one - mindfucking and hi-tech strats, second - insane micro and skill). And that's good. yeah, why did he leave hydras main. the lings were doing damage and could have used them simultaneously to draw fire from mutas while he micro his own GOD THIS IS AWEFUL

He lost 3-0, then lost 3-2. MSL YEAH! Jaedong!!! don't be upset, u can make it, he is still the best in all matchups,, not like some one legged master

Actually that sounds pretty damn good in itself, but it's what we've been saying for the past two MSLs. Hydra's pretty sick.

He's been winning BoXs in SLs using mind games and aggressive play, but I'm not sure how long he can keep it up, I just don't feel he is as sharp anymore, oh well, I dont mind him losing out of the MSL, after he gave us the most epic PvZ series ever. Jaedong stomping everyone else on pure mechanics hasn't happened since 2008. He gained much experience and grew stronger overall as a player, but I always feel like his peak was way back then when he was simply that much better than anyone else mechanics and multitasking-wise. I'm not sure whether his mechanics has dropped all that much. It's pretty much relative, I think. Hydra's mutalisk micro was out of this world, all the more impressive given the fact that it was against Jaedong.

He used to be able to. But now he loses 9 pool vs 12 pool and 12 pool vs 12 hatch to Hydra without showing signs that he could win, and without doing the right things that are needed to win in that case. That's sad. Still don't "bury" Jaedong yet - Boxer had a comeback, Nada too, and Jaedong can have it as well ^_^

I agree with you, it all started long long ago, when he started losing games even before Flash, then OSL and MSL losses, and then, I just realised that he's getting old, he is a veteran right now, he is the champion, but the champion that just waits for an successor. But no matter how he plays, he will be the best for me among zergs, for a long time

Only thing I could have really said about Jaedong winning was "he's getting his mojo back and he'll get the Golden Badge, tie NaDa in medal count, blah blah blah". Actually that sounds pretty damn good in itself, but it's what we've been saying for the past two MSLs. Hydra's pretty sick. so Hydra winning gives you some good written material for the finals preview. :D
