Xxio vs Heyoka
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Have you ever wanted to see two staff members fight to the death? Do you stay awake at night wondering who would come out on top in a brawl? How many more painstaking hours must we spend unable to answer these important questions? The answers are yes, yes, and only a few!
Presenting the Teamliquid.net Staff Tourney; an all out battle of the banlings (and writers, artists, admins, and all other staff positions that don't sound very cool to say) to determine who amongst the staff could potentially be the next winner of the GSL! (Disclaimer: winner of the Teamliquid.net Staff Tourney probably will not win the GSL)

Introducing the contestants
MiR_Chill - + Show Spoiler +
Born in a beaver dam, with maple syrup in his veins and a ban hammer in his hand, Chill is the ultimate primordial Canadian. As the territorial governor of TL's strategy forum Chill manages to stay fit and sane by maintaining a strict regime of GTL. In his spare time, he supplements his work with adding fifty user streams a day, high-profile TSL casting gigs, calling bullshit on epic girl blog sagas, and the occasional beatdowns of youtube gosus before thousands of adoring fans.
Writers.Treehugger - + Show Spoiler +
Originally from New York City, Trehugger now hailing from the passive-aggressive, hockey-mad, Scandinavian-socialist tundra of Minnesota. After discovering the magic of BW, Treehugger somehow muddled his way to TL, where he milked his Dutch ancestry and paid a substantial bribe of ESPORTS dollars to get onto staff. He opines about both the Shinhan Bank Proleague and the GSL while cheering for CJ Entus and Team Liquid. He writes blogs about all the poplar girls, but then deletes them because they're probably all birches anyway.
Writers.heyoka - + Show Spoiler +
A native of Minnesota, with ties to the female population of Wisconsin, heyoka is a huge fan of hot dish, icefishing, and just being oot and aboot, ya know? As TL's resident statistician, he's already calculated his chances of winning this tournament, a percentage he assures us is slightly higher than the chance of NASA finding intelligent life in the Sc2 strategy forum in our lifetimes.
[Admin]Hot_Bid - + Show Spoiler +
After moving to the United States from China at age 4, Hot_Bid has dreamed of nothing else but being a professional ESPORTS person. Now in his triple roles as Head admin, TL legal consul, and director of trolling, he can truly say that he is living out his dream. Other notable achievements consist of making a battery of CJ Entus-themed videos, writing a host of CJ-Entus themed articles, and being the only writer with smart enough to pick EffOrt to win the Korean Air OSL.
WiKi)Pholon - + Show Spoiler +
As one of TL's only staffed and starred users, Pholon not only receives access to the Gilded Staff Bathroom, but also gets to order from the special menu at the The Periwinkle Horse and receives a birthday message each year from Tossgirl. When he's not luxuriating in a jasmine scented bath with a personal assignment of boothgirls, Pholon works as one of Liquipedia's administrators and makes decorative chainmail for fun. Needless to say, everyone on staff secretly resents Pholon.
MiR_Klogon - + Show Spoiler +
Klogon is one of TL's oldest unbanned members, having registered in November of 2002, and having survived for over 13,000 posts since, eventually becoming one of the few moderators with a moving icon. Klogon's name is in fact a reference to a 13th century Manchurian cat deity.
Actually it's just the letter "k" before the word "logon".
Actually it's just the letter "k" before the word "logon".
MiR_TheMango - + Show Spoiler +
A member of the Korean mafia, Mango became a moderator through violence, extortion, and ruthless ban efficiency. But just like his namesake, Mango is really soft and sweet on the inside. He has an intimate knowledge of Times Square tea shops and Korean restaurants, and his tenderness towards his adopted son Pokebunny is legendary. On TL, Mango is the point person for TLOpens and the rapidly expanding industry of fruit dealing.
MiR_GTR - + Show Spoiler +
Up North in the Never-Never, where the land is harsh and bare, lives a mighty hunter named GTR. Blessed (cursed?) with TL's thickest Australian accent and the gift of eternal youth, GTR is TL's resident Kpop enthewsiast, and spends his days listening to Kpop, reading about prohgamahs, and fighting off dingos in the outback with his large knoife. And he's 12 years old or something. Nothing too special, really, ah mate?
MiR_p4NDemik - + Show Spoiler +
The victim of a horrific name-disfiguration accident, p4NDemik has taken refuge among the bluegrass of his native Kentucky, putting his disability behind him and shouldered the thankless and heavy burden of administrating TL's incredible database of the progaming scene. When the great monuments of TL are uncovered by alien archeologists, our greatest achievement will doubtless be judged to have been the TLPD, and p4NDemik will probably be surmised to have been our king.
Ban!Micronesia - + Show Spoiler +
List of Misc. Stuff that Micronesia likes according to his blogs: Golf, Smartphones, Ogden Nash, Gynecologists, American Football, Golf, Booze, Beta Particles, Bowling, Bees, The letter B, Go, Golf, Miles earned with credit cards, Astronomy, Eagles (Golf), Math, and walking to the train station in the middle of winter.
WiKi)TheFallofTroy - + Show Spoiler +
Tell me, O muse, of that ingenious hero who travelled far and wide after he had begun to edit Liquipedia. Many threads did he visit, and many were the players with whose manners and customs he was acquainted; moreover he suffered much by Sea[Shield] while trying to save Liquipedia articles from decline; but do what he might he could not save the Sc2 Strategy metagame, for it perished through its own sheer folly in debating balance with IdrA and Artosis. Tell me, too, about all these things, O daughter of Manifesto7, from whatsoever source you may know them.
Writers.Lovedrop - + Show Spoiler +
Less than a year old, Lovedrop is one of blue's newest members, and considered to be the 'baby' of the writing team. His primary function is as the GSL team's finals writer, where he inevitably hypes everyone up for severe disappointment. His meteoric rise through the ranks augers great things for his future, and at the recent TL Party conference, Lovedrop was seated five spots to the left and a row up from Nazgul in the group photo, and ate dinner at the left hand side of Riptide, both of which are considered by veteran Team Liquid watchers to be signs that he might be being groomed to take over the writing staff, as the other candidates were deemed too effeminate.
Writers.l10f - + Show Spoiler +
What's an l10f?
Writers.TrueRedemption - + Show Spoiler +
TrueRedemption is R1ch's apprentice, except that instead of using his wizard powers to make TL run smoothly, True uses his gift of foresight to predict the completely random results of the GSL with 100% accuracy. How he does it, nobody's really completely sure, but nobody has the courage to ask either, and so the writing staff is all just kinda happy he's on our side and hasn't taken their jobs yet.
WiKi)GHOSTCLAW - + Show Spoiler +
GHOSTCLAW (born March 24, 1976) is an American Liquidpedia Writer for Team Liquid of ESPORTS. 'claw holds the record for most Liquidpedia MVP awards with four. He was drafted by TL as the first overall pick in 1998 after a standout writing career with the Liquid Volunteers. He is the son of former Team Liquid writer Dadofghostclaw and the older brother of current Team Liquid Admin Sonofghostclaw.
He thinks wikipedia is a useful crutch.
He thinks wikipedia is a useful crutch.
MiR_BroOd - + Show Spoiler +
Originally from Dublin, BroOd is perpetually haunted by ghosts he's encountered on dark country roads, and has met the devil twice while playing cards in his rickety seaside shack. Eventually, BroOd followed the rainbow to New Jersey, which wasn't his pot of gold, but would have to do. As a TL moderator, BroOd is the master of the calendar, which he administers with ruthless efficiency. His secondary duties involve starting bar fights and reading James Joyce.
Ban!CTStalker - + Show Spoiler +
CTStalker's origins on TeamLiquid are as murky as Rekrul's paper trail, but his first appearance on TL corresponded to the posting of a user referred to by the initials "CT". Lacking in creativity, and made desperate by primordial lust, CTStalker joined TL to spy upon his beloved, yet like a ban romantic comedy, he fell in love with Team Liquid instead, and chose to stay even as the original "CT" left for browner pastures. And after years of constructive posting, he's been given a greater responsibility than has been held by most other members. He says he's reformed, and that he'll never use his powers for stalking again, but doubts linger.
Writers.Xxio - + Show Spoiler +
A member of the Canadian caucus of TL Staff, Xxio writes on Team Liquid as a kind of English therapy to counteract the creeping French influence that comes when you live in Montreal. Besides his diligent writing for the GSL Team, Xxio is known for being the proud owner of the six framed SKT autographs that you've all been planning to steal. He's also TL's karate expert however, so beware.
WiKi)Aesop - + Show Spoiler +
Once there was a ant in the midst of a thriving ant colony. The ant liked carrying crums of bread back to the hill, but he wanted something more. So he went to the ant foreman and asked how to triple nexus before gateway. Before the ant foreman could answer, a long tongue came darting into the anthill, scooped up the ants, and deposited them in the mouth of a hungry anteater where they died. That anteater was Aesop.

Ban!Jibba - + Show Spoiler +
A fan of Bisu, sAviOr and the University of Michigan, Jibba has been living in a fantasy universe for the past year now, in which those two players have made the finals of all the BW and Sc2 leagues and have split the victories, each time revolutionizing the match-up. He reflexively tries to ban anyone who challenges this version of events, but unbeknownst to him his banling privledges have been secretly revoked to prevent him from lashing out. Shhh... don't tell.
Ban!Puosu - + Show Spoiler +
A proud son of Finland, Puosu is like Antaeus of Greek mythology, and cannot be defeated in anything as long as he remains on Finnish soil. Thankfully, we got him addicted to the report button and lured him into a padded apartment in an undisclosed location where he bans people all day long and organizes staff charity tournaments.
