Here's what I want in BF3 (from BF2): 1. Tone down grenades on infantry servers - There was too much nade spamming on those servers usually - Nades were just too effective on infantry only servers (which I play from time to time to "level grind"). 2. Balance the stat point accumulation across all classes. A medic could easily get points by spamming med packs and/or reviving. While an engineer had to repair an asset or a vehicle all the way to 100% just to get a whole "one" point. Now I know Engineers can repair while inside vehicles but they should simply increase the "on-foot" point gain of engineers to 4x the amount it was in BF2. Inside the vehicle should be the same. Since stat grinding was a major part of BF2, All classes should gain points at a similar rate in BF3.

I don't remember because it was so long ago, maybe it wasn't enough of a nerf.

The problem is that anything that says you have over 50 ping in the browser is actually unplayable once you get into the server. And both of us who complained about reg both live in australia where ping can be an issue, especially for me (West Aussie) who often has to play on eastern aus servers. And to floor exercise, yeah DICE allllllllways has been shit, and I agreed with your point that netcode for BF2/large fps with vehicles would be hard. But the problem is that DICE is a really lazy developer that suffers in QA badly. Remember the 1.3 patch for BF2? Servers would crash frequently, and they didnt even hotfix it for months! BF games are full of rough corners unfortunately.

I so enjoyed the old rush-conquest maps where one team didn't have a dedicated spawn and had to constantly keep control of one base, but started out with superior position. Huge maps with up to 64 players were also fucking great, and the sheer amount of people always around made it extremely hard for a single player to ever really dominate hard, which is often problematic. Same goes for mapsize in relation to vehicle strength. Combining everything that made previous BF games awesome with destructible environments and proper stattracking would just be a huge leap forwards in the FPS genre, which is desperately needs with the amount of mainstream arcade styled crap there is out there.

Also, they said Bullet Lead + Drop will be FAR more severe than in BC2.
