Sea.GuemChi, who "retired" after last season's Proleague is back to Woongjin Stars.
After returning from India, Guemchi strongly feels that what he wants to do is to be a professional gamer.
"It is like I retired and revived very suddenly. During the period of my life as a progamer, I felt really tired. It is really stressful to see myself not reaping the efforts of the hours spent practicing, and therefore for a moment I decided to let it go. The period of time going to India made me realised that the only thing I could do, is to be a progamer."
The trip to India reignited Guemchi's passion for StarCraft. Even though GuemChi feels that he has already tried his very best, he still thinks he should push it even further in order to be an even greater progamer. He admits that he over-evaluated himself as a player, and feels very sorry for that.
"During the trip I reflected on myself as a progamer, and I wanted to see if there is anything in me left to do anything about it. I think winning will not be a problem if I am able to give all my best and try again, therefore I am back."
In fact, Sea.GuemChi really wanted to play StarCraft again. He even had the intention of switching over to StarCraft II. Back at the time, he insisted on retiring even though Coach Lee tried to dissuade him, thus he feels very sorry towards Woongjin.
Playing Starcraft II does not satisfy his desire to play Starcraft - He misses fans cheering for him, and the feeling of winning together with his team mates.
Last season Woongjin's new staffs went to see the match between Woongjin and CJ, in which Guemchi AK'ed. Guemchi dearly misses the cheers from the new staffs and the feelings from then, therefore he wants to go back and play Starcraft and get back that kind of feeling again.
"It isnt easy to go back and play Starcraft again, but Coach readily agreed when I asked to be back. Coach initially wanted me to come back as soon as possible, but I was too ashamed of myself to do so, and it dragged on for so long."
Finally, he says, " My current status in Woongjin Stars is as a practice partner. I will slowly work myself up from this position again, so please do support me."
