+ Show Spoiler [Game 1] + Passive play into gg. You should still watch this, since I bet everyone will be talking about this game despite there being little special about it. + Show Spoiler [Game 2] + Pretty cool attempt at coming back from an equally cool rush. Yes. + Show Spoiler [Game 3] + Decent micro, not too decent PvP. Skip it. + Show Spoiler [Game 4] + So entertaining. I found myself constantly thinking what on earth might happen next, and god, was it awesome. Watch it, it almost makes up for some other games in the series. + Show Spoiler [Game 5] + Weird reaction into gg. Not worth your time, unless you want to complain how bad the losing player is and need proof. + Show Spoiler [Game 6] + Nothing special for a PvT on Aztec. Spare your self the time. + Show Spoiler [Ace Match] + Not worth the hype at all, so I'm disappointed.

Flash and Jaedong have dominated the BW world for an entire year, but their teams have important parts of the Protoss Legacy in them. This spotlight pays tribute to them. I present to you the spotlights of Anytime and Reach, and I hope those newer to BW will appreciate it as much as they should. :D
Big thanks to n.DieJokes and moopie for doing the Spotlights on such short notice.
Captain Anytime, the suave and sophisticated Protoss hero. At 24 (26 Korean) Sashin towers over the rest of OZ’s criminally Young line-up. Almost three years older than the next eldest (HiyA and BackHo are both 21) Anytime brings a career’s worth of experience to a relatively green Hwaseung OZ. Having been through hell (read Ace) and back, he’s certainly no stranger to losing; Anytime is a Rock in the clubhouse during a very stressful and trying time for OZ. But he’s also a Light for a once glorious team, having tasted OSL and Proleague gold and ready to lead the team there again.
Anytime possesses a knowledge that nobody on OZ but Jaedong seems to have, how to win games. I can’t count the number of times I’ve watched Killer or BackHo or PerfectMan play beautifully up to the midgame only to make bad decision after bad decision and lose. Not Anytime, he has the instincts of a champion. Even on Ace, Anytime was one of the few players who kept the team respectable despite inadequate practice hours and conditions because he had the instincts to win. Now that he’s back home he can augment those instincts with the mechanics that only come from practice and he’s already had good results. While only 3-3 in pl since his return those three wins include a victory over MBC Ace Sea. It’s also worth noting that five of his six appearances have been against Terran and his PvT has looked good in the process. His PvP and PvZ are relatively untested since his return but on Ace Anytime’s PvZ always looked strong if inconsistent and his PvP was his most successful matchup.
What does this mean for tonight? Obviously the biggest question coming into the match is what will our answer be to FlaSh. It would be foolhardy to say that Anytime will beat Flash but I would contend that he could beat FlaSh. This is the man who once upon a fall bested iloveoov and BoxeR in back to back best of fives on awful PvT maps (excluding Anytime toss went 6-15 PvT). Outside of Flash, I like his smart heavily timing based PvZ against the likes of Action and have faith in his post Ace PvP. Sashin fighting!
The Mantossby moopie Most Brood War fans will not need this introduction, but allow me to make it anyway. Park Jeong Seok, better known as [Oops]Reach is by far the manliest player to have ever stepped in the booth. Reach has been part of the progaming since 2001 when he joined Hanbit Stars. Now, a decade later, he is one of the oldest active players still on the scene.
Reach's current role on KT As many people already know, Reach's current role is that of team captain due to his seniority and rapport with the players. His primary duties as captain are to help the players with their practice and other issues. This of course leaves less time for practice and as such captains are often less active in games. Reach is definitely captain material, he is someone all players can look up to, and seems to give off a very supportive friendly vibe. With any luck he'll beat KT's captain curse and show good results this coming year.
Believe it or not, the hardest thing about writing this piece was having to pick only a few pictures
Reach's current form Needing a break after his discharge from the airforce, Reach wasn't very active his first month back in KT. Since his return in November, Reach has only played in a single live match vs his former teammate GoRush. While he lost that match, his play was certainly not bad. His strategy deviated from the same old standard PvZ and his mechanics seemed solid. While he is currently riding the worst losing streak of his career (at 8 losses, or 11 counting only standard leagues), his play in recent games wasn't very sloppy but rather seemed to be due to lack of confidence in his attacks. With enough practice at the KT house, Reach will build up his confidence (and grow out his hair back to its former epic self) and he'll be ready to roll again. I certainly believe Reach has a lot left to show us as a player.
Highlights To those not familiar with Reach and his former glory, during his career Reach got a reputation of being a great macro toss, separating him from the herd of more aggressive, less econ-focused Protoss players. Reach's most notable victory was winning the SKY2002 OSL, where he toppled BoxeR 3-1. While not attaining additional golds he was a solid performer in leagues for some time, earning himself 3 silvers (Pepsi Twist 3rd KPGA, Gilette OSL and UZOO MSL). He was also the only Protoss to qualify for the 2004 IOPS OSL, though unfortunately he didn't advance from his group.
+ Show Spoiler [MDT's Reach Highlights] +
Did you know? - One of the original Three Kings (along with Nal_rA and Kingdom), who were the dominating Protoss force from 2002-2005. - The first player to achieve 100 Proleague wins. - The first Protoss to make both league finals (Pepsi Twist KPGA and SKY2002 OSL). - Has a 3-1 lifetime record against Anytime (maybe 4-1 by the time this series is over?) - Turned 27 1 month ago, making him the oldest active Protoss player on the scene. Happy belated birthday Reach
So there you have it. The boss himself, ready to resume kicking ass.
Stop. Hammer time.

meh... given the performance of my football team... i'm worried about my favorite SC player D:
If Oz wins man... I will straight up crap my pants. Please win JD!
Edit: And this is one of those days where u send JD first... Zerg favored maps in the 1st few sets... at least against T.

Since the beginning of 2010, Flash is 12-8 vs. Jaedong. In comparison, Flash is 9-3 vs. Stork in their last 12 games.
Stork is in excellent form right now but people need to stop getting overenthusiastic and acting like he's the greatest player ever. People need to remember that Jaedong has been the only player who's consistently posed any sort of threat to Flash in the last year.
That being said, I still think Flash will win against Jaedong in a pretty one-sided fashion. I can't remember the last time Jaedong beat an S-class opponent in proleague.

Jaedong posted this at around 2:30am korean time:
jd1231231:"아... 짜증"
google translator: "Ah ... sucks"
I'm pumped for this and I hope Jaedong can do an AK!

I expect that this group will make me sad. Flash all-kill with JD stomp is what I think will happen.
