Because the cop wants to not be found by the mafia so he should know how people look for him And because the medic wants to find the cop so he can protect him.
|
It would be helpful if someone could make a list of inactives up until now or a post count for each member up until this day. I think that could somewhat be helpful rather than just randomly pointing fingers everywhere.

Good idea. I nominate you.

Give it some time, at least when 24 hours has past.
In the meanwhile. What do you think about lynching inactives dinmsab?
|
Imo, I think it's inevitable to lynch inactives. I'm an amateur at this but in my last game I was mafia and I tried to stay low. So yeah, from my perspective inactives might be mafia, worse case scenario they're just bored pikachus. So not much harm there. Although if we have solid leads and clues on active players, I believe that should take priority.

It's going to take me a while to read all this since I just logged in to check my PM.
Super new to TL. Also liked the story, it's always better when the host uses colourful language.
Are we supposed to vote? I think I'll have to lurk some more before I take a wild guess. Ima be reading all yo posts brosefs.

Look at ken's history (from salem, at least)-- he spammed and was generally unhelpful even though he was medic. tbh between your constant accusations and random voting, you're being more distracting than he is.

"And because the medic wants to find the cop so he can protect him."
Medic's don't know who to protect unless they personally know the other player(s) and want to ensure they stay in the game. If the medic is a new player/ doesn't know anybody they're more likely to protect themselves (or is that not allowed?).
In my opinion, we should in-actives. If only so that each active player can have at least a day or 2 of contribution and can be verbally felt up for tells/contradictions. Also because it would be funny if an inactive mafia was voted out.
If we do go along the lines of keeping inactives, here are my impressions so far:
It seems to me that Gabriel wants to fight everybody. Honestly not a great way of uniting the townsfolk if you ask me. I'd rather keep people who aren't so difficult to talk to. You're my vote if we go along this path.
Infundibulum seems to be experienced in TL mafia and so has garnered some not so avid fans. You're a blank slate to me so I have nothing against you and am quite happy to keep you in for a while longer =).

i know it's contradictory. but it is true that medics want to protect dts and mafia want to kill dts. i think the real point is that it does not at all hurt town to read that article, which seemed to me was what LSB was implying.

Personally I think we should never actually vote for an inactive day one but rather use talking about it to find mafia. We have 48 hours, that's enough time for most people to chime in about lots of stuff. I'd be on the lookout for older/vet players who are either not stepping up to the plate to try to organize the town or giving useless information.
Since day 1 there's the least amount of info possible, you really have to focus on a few select people and so usually the best people to focus on are the vets/good players/people not acting the way they usually do.
A good list of people that have played a decent amount of games is:
tree.hugger zeks Infundibulum LSB Hesmyrr d3_crescentia
|
Rather though, the medic is more focused on finding the cop when it's a small game setup with 1 of each role.
In a larger game like this medics are probably better off focusing on protecting people that are actively protown and the detective is better off not being found out. Hence me posting the ways that people tend to find the detective, so he can catch himself from falling into any common tells.

The hell is wrong with you? More than one person thinks that your logic is flawed, so you accuse them of breaking the rules and ragequit for the night? Your accusations appear random and designed to stir up controversy. I'm not sure if that's the best way to apply pressure at this point, as this thread is very quickly turning into Gabriel vs. The World, each of which are repeating the same arguments over and over. It's exactly what we want to avoid.
For the record, I also find the fact that two people jumped on LSB's bandwagon of Infundibulum incredibly suspicious. I'm going to encourage people to keep an eye on zeks (since we're all already talking about Gabriel). I'm also not prepared to vote Gabriel yet, as I can't really imagine a mafia member drawing so much attention to themselves over something so small.
Why would you draw attention to the fact that someone might be a cop? When I read this it seemed you wanted to point "Intermediate player looking for reasons to vote day 1" (40%), which could describe Gabriel's play thus far.
Unless you actually meant to link the one for finding mafia, in which case well done.
|
Yeh I've read that some people here intend to vote off inactives later anyway. Which makes sense as late game inactives are more likely to be mafia and are definitely not valuable, contributing villagers.
Honestly if I was a vet and mafia I would do my best to organise the town. It gives me credibility as an upstanding citizen and allow me to slay naysayers behind everyone's back. I'd be getting the best of both worlds.
But definitely a vet who doesn't try to glue the people together and does the opposite is making a huge mistake. That's why I would honestly vote for gabe.
Regarding the 3 votes to infundibulum (is that true?), can you please state why you're doing so, especially if it was about a previous mafia game. If it's just a personal non-mafia case just say that and I'll get it, but if he did something amazingly sinister to invoke wrath upon himself I'd really like to know.

Completely random I know... but can someone tell me how to get to the voting thread. On the front page it says "vote in a separate thread found here" but there's no link on here, or after it. I think I missed where it was listed and would be nice to be able to see the votes... I have a feeling I'm missing something very obvious.
