I'd throw down on a prizepool Yes, there are LOTS of high diamonds that are going to play for a prizepool. We lack someone organizing right now. What prizepool are you talking about? On November 20 2010 12:26 teol33 wrote:It sucks to live in such a big city and not have any good lan areas around, except ignite which could house a nice tournament. That's why I was suggesting we start small, non-prizepool, BYOC and meet at a school to play some fun games including 4v4s, 3v3s. Even though there are lots of high diamonds that will compete for money, there are EVEN MORE low diamonds, platinums, etc. that want to have fun at a LAN party without a prizepool. I am very close to making my own thread with this idea in mind and leave this one alone. On November 24 2010 10:13 amazingxkcd wrote:I can get like 15 kids at my school to attend a sc2 lan if there's a prize pool What school? Can we organize this (paid or non-paid, most likely BYOC) at your school? Perhaps as part of a computer/videogames club or standalone? Since you have so many people playing SC2 at your school, you can talk to the administration to get permission, establish some rules (i.e. follow all school regulations, no alcohol etc) and reserve a room with enough internet connections where you could BYOC? It does not necessarily need to be a computer room; I wouldn't want to install SC2 on school computers. | ||

Hello George, Thanks for your communities interest in ignite network! By the sounds of it, and perusing the forum link you sent me, you want to set up your own tournament that is simply hosted in our venue. That being said, this is something we might be interested in. Here is a rundown of our facility and how renting our space for a tournament would work: Half of our facility has 32 PC’s that all run Starcraft 2, the other half has console gaming which leaves no room for a BYOC section. We have a free parking lot that can house up to 30 vehicles, as well as street parking that is also free. For a half facility rental Monday through Thursday for 20+ guests for a total of 10 hours you are looking at an estimated $600. Friday through Sunday would be an estimated $1000. This will give you access to all 32 PC’s including tech support from our staff. If you take a look at our facebook photo albums under “DotA Fire and Ice” You can get an idea of how a previous event looked and felt. If this is not what you had in mind or I didn’t answer your questions sufficiently let me know! Look forward to hearing back from you!
