I've read through on your how to get started issues and I'm aware there's legit ways to buy in game time with ISK. So... 1) Is it within the realm of possibility to get a good enough start with the method you posted and by picking a period of time where you'll have enough time to play a good amount to buy in game time off your trial? 2) How much time would you have to dedicate within any given in game time period would you have to dedicate to earn enough extra ISK on the side to be able to theoretically never have to buy game time with real $$. Would you have to go all Chinese gold farmer? Or is it more like you'd have to go insane farm mode during the trial to get started but it'll stabilize after that. Im interested in EVE because one thing I always got frustrated at with other games is a low Skill cap while it seems like idiots can succeed in EVE it's tougher and from what I've seen it SEEMS like someone who takes time to get good at the game will get rewarded. Some people already answere your question but I thought Id give you some additionnal info to work with. The best way to make money in the 21 day trial and the first month of payed play is by far to salvage. Salvaging usually nets you 10M isk/hour, its very dependant on the mission and the mission runner but you can normally take that has an average. Of course the big problem with salvaging is it is reliant on people running level 4 missions while you are online (and willing to do it). We now have a pretty good amount of level 4 runners right now so its usually not a problem to find someone (unless there are a lot of people that want to salvage online or we are running ops). With that in mind, a ''free game card'', also called a PLEX usually hangs around 350M isk. Is it possible ? Yes it is, does it require a lot of time and doesnt leave you with much money to pvp? (even if we offer reimbursement), yes You should also note that if you chose your mentor well, you can get some that offer activation bonuses (aka since you basically save them 350M by suscribing some will give you around 100-150M, dependant on the person). Now that we have covered the first 2 payments (20$ + 15$), the third payment usually depends on what race you decided to train. If you went with the easypveloldari youre usually safe to run level 4 missions and be able to buy a PLEX for the 2nd month (60days + trial). By that time your skills should allow you to pilot a reasonnably fitted drake or raven, which should net you around 20M isk/hour of running missions. This number will quickly go up in the next months to 40M isk/hour and possibly 50-60M isk/hour if you focus on that. (Caldari pilots could probably give you better numbers but all in all i dont think this is too off) Downside to that is obviously that caldari is not the best pvp race, except for the drake, options are pretty limited for this race and you usually dont want to bring a drake in pvp until you can t2 fit it (well you can but beware of the kwark rage). If you decide to go the more pvp way (Minmatar would be preferable since its what we pretty much are), then id say its gonna be pretty hard for the 3rd payment, but after that you should easily be able to run 4s in order to buy PLEX's. All in all, this is a resume of what MOST people do. There are obviously some ways of making money faster (a good trader could easily make it for example), people like ViceorVirtue managed to never actually pay for the game by running different things like combat site, but I just wanted to give you the general way of how people usually do it. Another option would also to become buddy buddy with someone that has an alt able to run missions and gain his trust. Mission on his account to buy your PLEX, and focus your main account on pvp.

I have recently gotten into dealing ammo at Jita, and am in need of suppliers. I can pay for the ammo, and I can sell the ammo, but I cannot produce the ammo. This is where you level 4 missions runners come in. I am paying About 75,000,000isk per 100,000 rounds of faction ammo. This can turn your mission running from a great way to get isk to an AMAZING way to fund any of your PvP escapades. While I do need the ammo, I also only need so much of each kind of ammo. As such, if you are interested please message me, Galrroth, in game. I will be putting together a list of players who can dedicate LP towards making faction ammo and then will discuss how much of each ammo the players will make. We can discuss whether you will supply completed faction ammo, simply the LP to make the ammo, if you will supply shipping or not. These stipulations may affect isk payment by a few million isk or may not depending on how much it costs me to do something as well as how much ammo you provide. I'm hoping that we can work out a deal for faction ammo, and I'm hoping that many of us in the Hatchery will be able to profit. Sincerely, Galrroth EDIT: For those trying to figure out how much ammo they can commit. 1,600LP = 5,000 faction ammo. So take your average daily amount of LP, find the amount you are willing to commit, divide by 1,600 and multiply by 5,000. (Ex. 32,000LP = (32,000/1,600)*5,000 = 100,000 rounds.)

The long and tedious days of running a mission after another for your agent are coming to an end. The Hatchery is going to War, and this time we're going big. In the last couple of months we have grown bigger and we have grown stronger, but nothing really came to test our abilities as a corp. We had our little wardecs and our roams here and there, we made good kills, we made some loss, but we never had the true opportunity to test what we were truly about. A couple of hours before the redaction of this message, the name of multiple corporations, all based close to our headquarters, have been put forward as our soon-to-be new war targets. According to the information we gathered on each of these corporations, the total number of pilots we are going to be up against should be around 300. Vastly outnumbered, the only way to survive and conquer our numerous opponents will lie in our ability to act as a single fighting unit, an option that our opponents will not have. With that in mind, a couple of things will obviously be asked from all pilots. -The corporations we will be going up against have all been flagged with Terrible Standings, add every people that you see in your local that is red to your watchlist and let everyone know in our chat if you notice one of these pilots flying a particularily expensive ship. (Be wary of red stars, these are people we are CURRENTLY at war against, they should flash red on your overview if they are on grid with you, you can open fire on them, do not open fire on people that only have terrible standings.) - There is less than 40 hours before the beginning of the hostilities (votes have been passed a couple of hours ago and they take 24 hours to go through, once they are, a 24h delay starts before the beginning of the war.) With that in mind, we would like to require from every pilot to have a good amount of PvP ships fitted and ready to be flown at our Headquarters. If things get real ugly we might be stucked there for a week with limited possibilities to acquire supplies and ships, so be ready. -New pilots should fit rifters or griffins. If you are going for a caldari skill route, try to fit a basic ecm griffin. Rifters are extremely good ships, but once you have enough webs and points a couple of ECM boats will probably do better against bigger targets. -Discipline : We are obviously not going to turn into tyrants and ask every pilot to be on 24 hours a day, but we would like that when you are online you do a certain minimum. . Try to be on vent as much as you can everytime you are online . Try not to fly ships that are too expensive (for you), this is mostly for new players that don’t have the skills to fly more expensive stuff efficiently. . Inform other corpmates about hot systems, gatecamps, etc. Any information that might save the life of someone will be useful. . Listen to more experienced pilots -Do not use this thread or the SCBW channel to give out any intel, they are easy to have access to, every useful information about the war should be kept in the corp chat. With all of that said, we will attempt measures in order to extort money from our new targets (in exchange for a truce). Since it is impossible to foresee the results of these discussions, we need to be ready for what will probably be the most action-packed week as of yet. The Hatchery Fighting!

There wasn't much else to do so then we all just killed a vagabond. When we got back to emol we found two war targets had arrived from a strange corp that had decced us. Warning went out immediately and we mobilised to hunt them. There were a few hiccups with people not bringing points and jumping gates badly and shit like that and we ended up chasing them into gusandal. It was all going really badly and they refused to fight so we just killed another vagabond (same guy, new vagabond), another thorax (different guy) and then went on home. Ultimately disappointing. We missed the caracal and both war targets due to sloppy fleet work, bad communication (partially my fault as FC) and some refusal to use PvP effective ships (you know who you are (and so do I, it's you Serg)).

If you have a scimi pilot willing to fly a scimi in your fleet, you praise god, praise the pilot, and praise the ship. Having logi is pure win and their "efficiency" means absolutely nothing.

My problem was we were in a gang of eight hunting a single target (at the time) and he brings a logi. I'd much rather him have something with a point, especially when he ends up face to face with the guy and can't hold him. Sometimes you just don't need reps.

A BATTLE SCIMITAR. And you always needs reps, so you can go figth a 30man fw gang with 8 dudes :>
