I don't know about you, but if there was playing against some ass whose only goal was to make sure that my players died, thus removing all chances of making the tournament, I'd be pissed. We should have some assurances that this kind of situation isn't commonplace.

Sometimes you just need to yell blood for the blood god while stamping on that gutter runner who's scored 3 touchdowns in a half on his own.

I'm all for fouling, even absurd fouling, but lets just make sure everyone has fun, yes? :O

I've played several games but it makes it so much harder not knowing what you need to be rolling to do certain things like not getting knocked over when 'going for it' etc You can download a .pdf of the rules at: http://www.cyanide-studio.com/forumBB/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=20563 Regarding fouling I don't know that we need a strict rule on it. If people are being BM (in any fashion) we can deal with it, but even if your team gets fouled a lot it's unlikely that it will permanently remove a lot of players. And there is compensation for the corresponding lower team value in future games.

I don't mind getting a random team, but if we have BB newcomers and they get goblins for example, I am afraid they will be disgusted especially if their first game is vs dwarves haha. Actually I don't even see new players handling chaos properly for example. Maybe let the less experienced players choose their team? Also we should decide if we keep the teams from one season to the next order not. If we are going for the long term, it changes decisions about the roster and the team development. Of course people can always start with a fresh team instead even if we do that.

Okay. I'm hoping to have everyone signed up/confirmed by Monday so we can get started. The league has been created on BB Manager, so we just need the stragglers to catch up and we'll be ready. I have decided we're going to use a 'limited draft' system for picking races. I will randomize the coach names and then, in order, they will be presented with 3 race choices. When they choose, I will remove that team and we'll work our way up. While the Undead may be hard to counter, Halflings can not truly be considered 'competitive'.

According to the Steam page it comes with the installation. And I've been reading about people having trouble with it (scanning their pc, slowing it down, etc). Not that I trust everything I read but I'd like to know if I have to install this stuff to play the game. Is it just to keep track of your installation count? (5 per purchase if I've read it right) Or is there something left behind? I didn't buy the Dark Elves edition because of it (played a cracked version instead) and I just dont want to go through the same thing we had with Chaos League/StarForce all over again. Other than that I'd love to play

In matchmaking, it is kind of a douche move, but in leagues, it is legitimate if you want to eliminate a possible threat in later games. Fouling really is not a problem. Hell the league I am in actually has a reward each season for most players sent off! Do not get attached to your players, they will die or get crippling injuries, deal with it, this is not pokemon Maybe maybe we could say something about fouling on turn 16,but that's really the maximum weight could disallow. I would be down to play in the league if it wasn't random. >< I think it is more fun when everyone just picks the team they like. The game is pretty balanced, with of course teams like goblins and halflings being somewhat worse. Here are some stats if anyone is interested: http://naf.doubleskulls.net/lrb6.html
