I'm not saying Naruto "cheated" or anything, just I think he often resorts to brute force (which Luffy does as well). The OHKO wouldn't have helped him at all without a battle plan. It's a part of his powers he couldn't win by brute force hence he won pretty much only by using his startergy since he didn't brute force anything in that match. the OHKO Rasengan as you calll it is useless without having a really good stratergy to back it up. It's big, it's slow and it needs contact with you and your opponent to work. In terms of brute forcing it's useless. I think we more or less agree, except you put more important one his strategy, while I put more importance on him being stronger than like everyone else.

I've only ever seen One Piece on Adult Swim but please someone explain to me why at the very least you put Naruto over Bleach... I'm a very casual anime-watched but I have been watching it since Trigun in early high school. I loved shonen like Trigun (arguable if it's that, it's a bit deeper imo), Kenshin, FF:U (bad), etc. Here are my views:
Naruto -- Terribly underwhelming character design and abilities. Everything is so goofy or "uncool;" even the main Villain Orochimaru looks like a dick because he's in an extremely unflattering dress with a giant rope knot on the back. Meanwhile, Bleach enemy design is fucking sick. Even nerd Aizen looks awesome once he goes evil, but in the meanwhile there's people like Ulquiorra, Zaraki, Nnoitora, Grimjaww... Narutos villains like, the only cool looking one is Sasuke's brother and I stopped watching before they got to much shit involving him. Even his accomplice is some weird fish looking guy who uses a serrated bigsword that shaves away their Ki or whatever, really underwhelming and lame. Also full of giant fights where you stand on a turtle, what the fuck? I find Naruto to just be REALLY kiddy, awfully animated, and lame. Which is a shame because it started out promising with the Hidden Mist arc, Zabuza and co were tight (except that guy/girl looked like a girl but was a guy? what the fuck?), then it just got worse.
One Piece struck me as incredibly kiddy.

If you think one piece is kiddy, you have not seen it subbed and all the way through. More like not even 10-20 episodes through.
Give it a try, subbed, very easy to find a site with all of them listed.

I watched Naruto and One Piece completely and Bleach for the first 60 or so eps. One Piece has been constantly better, it was funny (important), the storyline was oke, not great, but not bad either. The characters are great (I alway compare myself to Zoro when I get lost again) and make me want to watch the show. Naruto is oke most of the time, although I hate Naruto himself, he's just an annoying weakling who is always charging straight in without thinking (I actually doubt if he can think at all). Other characters are pretty good (Shino, Shikamaru), a pity that I don't see them more. What I saw of Bleach was quite good, but seemingly I did not have the motivation to watch the rest, so I suppose it didn't get to me.
I'll definitely vote for One Piece, because it is always good instead of parts and the characters are better. I love when people make that asumption about Naruto that he is a idiot that doesn't think. But check out Narutos fights, almost all of them are won not because he is stronger but because he is the better stratergist. Infact in terms of a battle plan he is by far the most competent after Shikamaru. What? The majority of Naruto's victories are either due to Kyuubiing it up, or due to luck (farting in Kiba's face). And later on in the manga, when he learns how to apply wind element to his Rasangan, he basically gets a ridiculous OHKO move. And then he gets his Sage powers, which makes his strength skyrocket. Naruto started out as a really annoying kid but has grown so much over time. I had two points in the Naruto manga that made me feel "This is the better of the three". Asuma-incident and the Hinata-incident. The Asuma one really made me realise that I give a shit for the characters in the Manga and the Hinata one made me damn upset at the time, not just for the things that happened but the beatuiful way that it was portraid.
With one-piece it's just fun. Everything is just out of control fun and I really like that but in the end I don't really care about the characters in it. It's shallow, but really awesome. During the entire Marineford arc I couldn't once force me to care for Ace instead I spent it like a 6 year old going "MOAR POWWARS! HELL YEA!" I love OP but for me it's for fun.
I've always seen Bleach as the lesser of the three. Mainly because of the incredible dullness that is Kurosaki Ichigo, he is so freaking boring. His personality is wooden, his powers are unflexible and dull as hell. Everytime there is a major Ichigo battle I feel like not reading the manga untill it's over so I can speed through it. The sad part is that it has some really intresting side characters that I'm much more intressted in learning about making me cringe everytime it swaps back to Ichigo. Shooting black laser isn't an awesome power, and having a bankai that is bigger and faster waves is sooo damn boring. It had potential at first but at the moment I just feel like the main character is so damn weak that I don't feel like reading it. So you didn't feel anything for Nami during the Arlong arc, or anything for Robin at Ennies Lobby? Very very little. I didn't feel the manga gave me a good enough reason. Maybe I could have cared for Robin during the Enies Lobby, but the fact that Oda has no consistancy in how powerful his characters are pissed me off so bad at the time. Robin went from being able to take out the entire Straw hat crew to being pretty much useless in a matter of days. No manga has more consistent power levels than One Piece... I really hope you are joking. Oda is all over the place. Kekkashi that one has proper power levels. How does One Piece have inconsistent power levels, or at least, how does One Piece have more inconsistent power levels than Naruto? One Piece is so consistent with Power Levels, they rarely even exist. The vast majority of fights in One Piece just come down to Ability vs Ability. Naruto vs Neji He won due to pretty much stratergy alone. Indeed he did use the 9-tails but that is part of him and saying that would be cheating is like saying that it's cheating for Luffy to use anything but first gear. Neji outmatched him so bad in that much and the only reason Naruto wins is because he has a better battle plan and is the better stratergist. Squad 7 vs Zabusa and Haku Again it's Naruto that does the inventive stuff in this fight he is the one that comes up with the shuriken trick ect. Again yea does go in tail mode but that's no reason to dismiss the fact that he kept them in the fight up untill that point. Zabusa (Here we can talk about fucked up power levels) is supposed to be so much stronger than they that it isn't even funny. Naruto vs Kakuzu Another great example of winning only because of stratergy. Kakuzu would have crushed him if he hadn't had a plan. Naruto vs Pain The entire fight is perfect example of Naruto having a great battle plan. Ah missed the second point. I'm not saying that One Piece is the worst of the bunch, infact I would say out of the 3 bleach is obviously worst and then Naruto, One piece are both about equal, however they are not comming close to mangas like Kekkashi. The Nico Robin one is unique, at least I can't think of anyone other than that apart from maybe Zabusa (that would be on par) that got so damn fucked up. Robin went from being able to anihiliate the Straw Hat Crew. Crippling them to the very core, to being useless in battle IN THE SAME ARC. That's just stupid on so many levels. Agree on everything you said. Many of the fights in Naruto have some strategic reason for the winner of the battle even though some of them are lame (Sasuke's endless sharingan spam) I think that makes him a really good and a really bad villain in one. He has no personality other than being really really emo, he has 0 character development through the entire series. He doesn't give a shit about anyone but himself. He never ever works for his gain of power but instead it's just constantly given to him by others and he always manage to find the most powerful bad guy at the moment to follow.
If someone presented to me a charcter like that in a written essay I would say that it was a bad character but it all flows together into probably one ofthe least likable characters ever. (I don't mean most evil/dispicable ect Hunter x Hunter has a borderline pedofile and his probably the most likable character ever)
You know who Sasuke is? He is the rich kid that always showed up with tons of pokémon cards, or pogs or the most expensive yo-yo or had a brand new BMX every summer, and never once shared any of it with anyone else but just tossed it aside in his mansion when he got bored of it. Everytime you saw in the school yard you wished he would at least fall of his stupid BMX and break his leg,

Bleach just has great music, awful fillers (don't they all though), and awesome fights. I don't know, what makes you guys prefer Naruto over Bleach? The reason people don't like Bleach is that it's style over substance, and after 400+ chapters having a paper thin story with more plot holes than Harry Potter it gets really boring. The start of Bleach is great, apart from the fact that Ichigo is a horrible character and about as intressting as bleach. (how fitting har har har) Everything moves super slow because there is no content there and if I wanted to watch glorified emos I would watch death note.

You are about 2-3 years behind my friend. The Hidden Mist arc? That was at least 7 years ago, and I don't think many people reference that anymore.. More Akatsuki members have been arrived, and they are damn cool. Still, the Naruto anime is darn slow though. I can only stand reading the manga.
I like Bleach. But when you think about it, the dude doesn't have many attacks at all. Bleach is well done because of the number of characters there are, and the variety of their individual skills. I find the anime to be legit-ly funny, and even the fillers can be watched, in contrast to naruto's. The music is not great however, because it is repeated over and over and over again. At first I was like, "oh, this must be ____'s theme." But then it'll get used in the most random situations later on.

one piece for reasons already stated.
bleach for #2 only because the first 3 seasons of the anime were decent and intresting. only worthwhile now just for the random few moments that hollow ichigo pops up *best villian ever* rest of the manga/anime is trash
naruto is just stupid. started off promising but ultimately transitioned into an emo+yaoi fest that got duller and duller. if naruto stopped being a emo always singing cry me a river and sasuke died off + sakura bitch slapped silly then i might bump it to #2

One Piece completely rape Naruto and Bleach.
Naruto was fun up to when Sarutobi died.
Bleach was fun up to when they got to that spiritual world or whatever that was.
One Piece is fun up to now.

I think this discussion is getting away from the main crucial factor of any manga or story--its plot. Sure Naruto wins his battles through strategy or through brute force; he and Luffy and Ichigo never gives up, thats the charming aspect about them, etc. But One Piece is without a doubt a clear paragon in which long mangas should follow to NOT fuck up a good plot. If I was homework-less and bored I would not mind re-reading all three mangas to cite and support my argument flawlessly[or attempt to do it flawlessly] but as I will not do so, only view it as an opinion.
-All three mangas had great potential. No doubt they all began as rockets, with sky as their limits. I have to admit I personally started out with Bleach, god that manga was epic, I so wished it didn't fall from the clouds. Shinigamis-cool, character designs-cool, plot-heroic. Characters: B+ Designs: A+ Plot:B
-Next I stumbled upon Naruto. My god, this had such great, great, great, great potential, even more so than One Piece or Bleach. It's universe is just SO diverse and so much endless possibilities. I mean when you learned about all the elements or different techniques, its just like a perpetual awesome-bucket. Ninjas- Hackneyed but still cool, designs--who cares, plot-TEAR JERKING, Heart wrenching epicness. Characters: A- Designs: B- Plot: A++*** Let's not kid ourselves, Naruto's one aspect that hooked you in was its awesome plot at the beginning.
-Now One Piece, I reluctantly started to read because the other two was not satisfying me. It was the first Anime I saw though, when I was like in 5th grade, maybe? Saw a short excerpt on one Saturday morning, and the dub made me think that it was the stupidest thing ever. As we focus back into the manga, I have to say, man does this s.o.b. start out slow, I remember trying to start reading One Piece several times and probably quit twice before I fully delved into its universe. It's beginning is just really slow. But if you want to think of it as a slow starter, think of it as the rusty, trusty, turtle that wins against the hare in the childhood fable. Its characters are very unique, most unique of all three. Now I'm not bashing the other 2 manga's characters, I just think that compared to Bleach and Naruto, One Piece's characters are more unique because they are more developed. Oda[One piece Author], really progresses the characters as well as the plot. Now the designs[I'm using pre-OP time skip as reference], I would have to say is under Bleach and above Naruto. Bleach designs are most intrinsic, intricate; however One Piece design is just as intricate but with a bit more rural, home-feeling, laid-back style. I feel as if Bleach design compared with One Piece design is comparable to a Cut diamond to a raw diamond. Bleach is very cut, dry, sharp, delicate while One Piece is more raw, natural, basic and not to mention--immature. All in all, both have great design features. Plot as I have mentioned starts off slow as a fucking snail, there is no argument there but as I refer back to the turtle/tortoise, hare comparison, One Piece is more consistent, its development is more consistent, its progression is more consistent. Characters: A+ Design:A- Plot: A
If you were to compare all 3, Bleach and Naruto both stormed out of the gate but they ran out of gas half way and One Piece jumps from 'Fantastically good' to 'Pretty decent' for the whole duration. And consistency makes One Piece better than the other two because as a reader you want the whole book to be good, not just one part to be good--otherwise what motivates you to continue reading after the good part is over? The 'good part' shouldn't end until the whole story ends.
***Up until the Time Skip, of course.

internet gain popularity in 2000ish. I started using the internet[access to anime] around 8th grade-2004 ish? So Dubbed versions of anime wins out!! Lol.
I'm not talking about Ninja vs. Pirates, I'm talking about the plot. Sure the characters are PART of the plot but not the entire thing. AS a whole, Naruto's plot in the beginning REALLY immersed you into the series because of the sad, morbid, tear jerking stories that it was founded on.
