Yeah, team games aren't meant to be taken seriously without a partner. Or maybe they are, but I run into the same situation as you, so I just try to stick to 3v3 or shit that won't piss me off when I lose.

awww how cute.

Nothing better than 4v4ing with friends at a lan, doing only cheese and being extremely BM and loud to the opponents and your selves...
|
I can't even imagine playing without a partner. My friends are bad enough as is and we use vent, now a random player without vent would be tough. It probably won't be as bad in 3v3 or 4v4 if you want to try that. Then request one of your allies to be your 2v2 partner if they don't suck too much.

Blizzard will never be able to make a perfect matchmaking system for Team games, just accept that you can't handle 1v1 and need someone to blame for your losses.
Just kidding! RTing is no way to play RTS games unless you want to break your computer, get/make friends to play with for team games with or stick to 1v1. Hell I still play with my BGH buddies from 10 years ago now in SC2. They are the reason why I actually play the game so much.

I'll agree that matching arranged and random teams together is shit, but whoever goes into random team games thinking that strong organization, teamwork, and quality players are all going to coexist is foolish.
If it bothers you this badly, just don't play random teams? D=
The point (obviously) is that you will be matched against another random team with the same handicap, and after many games your ability to overcome this will separate you from other random team players, that's part of the fun. Except in SC2 there is no fun in Random Team, it's you and 3 people that range from bronze league to top diamond vs an arranged team that usually has a 90% winrate and is going to kill you off in a manner where your skill means nothing, and telling your allies what to do or what your opponent is doing is not enough.

I second that. Gaming with my brother is the BEST way to play 2v2.

I don't understand why people would even want to queue for 2v2 without a partner...

Protip: Don't play with random allies?
I always play with friends in team games. The only minor exception to this would maybe be my 4v4 Randoms, Which I usually end up partying with a friend, so I'm in with him and 2 pubby allies... Makes it much more bearable.

Rewind a month ago and if you went into 4v4 random your allies would generally be around your level and its nice because you get to meet people to play with that are decent. I made a few friends playing 4v4 random because we'd see each other every game because there's only a few people in our skill range. With the matchmaking "fix" its turned to utter shit but hey, you get to play a shitty game much faster now.

Don't play 2v2 unless you have a partner.
I exclusively play 1v1 unless my Korean Terran friend is online.

Anyway random usually sucks. If my friend and I play 3v3 with a random, the 3rd guy always sucks badly. 2v2 with randoms is usually terrible since they're half the team. But other than that, points are pretty meaningless. You're just being sucked into Blizz's mind-controlling methods.
|
You need to stop raging so hard when you lose with random people Kris. Either play with people you know or play 1v1s... It's not that complicated. Random 2's seem pointless and boring.
So that game you lost vs me was with a random partner huh?
|
I totally agree with you man haha.
I think that it is 10x harder to get in diamond 4v4 with a random team than to get in diamond in 1v1.
Most of my games i'm like 1v3 or 2v4. Quite good to practise your macro and your trashtalk :p
|
This is absolutely intentional. When the system finds two average Diamond opponents, it wants to find a bad player for you to balance out the teams because your MMR is likely very high (or was). If you don't want to be intentionally handicapped now and then, find some decent 2v2 partners.
|
If you truly care about your 2v2 ladder then just find a partner? Many resources for you to use to find one easily or you can just not care and play.
|
Only play 1v1 unless you have a partner who is online?
