Surely he could've stopped that first snipe if he hadn't fallen for his bait and taken his army to the gold. Then he just flat out did not defend that side and allowed it to happen a second time. Poor play by Iron is all.

stop with the imbalance talk. ksdfjlsfjl im so sick of it. tvp is probably the most balance match up. protoss can go so many things also like vr, dt , 4 gate, phoenix.
polt really out played him there

There seems to be a popular, if uninformed theory that if anyone wins a game ever, their race is overpowered.
Honestly, the balance of the races fluxuates more over time than when Blizzard patches it. It has everything to do with popular strategy and tactic, and not as much to do with unit stats as we think.

Polt got maximum use out of his units by splitting them up, diverting his opponents attention. Is that really so different than rolling in a few banes and clearing out a mineral line within a couple of seconds, or doing a storm drop?

I don't know about the rest, but I have always ONLY referred to the problems of marauders being able to snipe out a nexus so incredibly fast when stimmed; it doesn't require a lot of "outplay" if you just have to make a drop as soon as your opponent leaves his base for a second
please notice, that this specific problems has pretty much nothing to do with marauder-balance in general, and I will stop talking about balance right now because it doesn't belong here after all....
all in all there's no discussion that polt was in fact the better player

Because P shouldn't have been nerefd at all ... zeals are a core units of P army, nerfing them means penalizing the P for every game from the beginning to the end. Surely Zeals are a bad counter to marauders, but ... would you prefer to have a couple of zeals to defend against an early T marauders push ... or 0 zeals because production time of zeal and WG was prolonged by 10 secs in total?
I prefer to have a couple of zeals man .... so, at least they take some hits from stalk / sentry.

I'm sorry if this has been answered 100 times, but I haven't found it..what's the band and song when the show comes back on?

It seems you don't either, seeing as how you didn't even make it past qualifiers.

This.
A lot of people have shown a build order or general idea, but outside of a few instances none of them really felt truly refined (none are perfect obviously). Lots are gimmicky or not reactionary enough, but both of these felt well thought out.

I am seriously loling at all the terrans coming in to defend their race.
Sure protoss probably would have lost, but what is to stop terran from hiding 6 or so marauders every matchup and just sniping hatcher/nexus? The units are absurdly good. There is absolutely no way to stop them from doing it. 6 marauders took down that building than probably any other unit could do it, maybe dark templar? And they are t1 units that are VERY CHEAP.

Yea I didn't understand that, I thought that if you expo so early you would automatically lose to a rush? Did Jangminchul tech too much?

To be fair you don't gain absolute map control with a few banelings or a lingering warp prism though.

Kinda feel bad for Iron. Going from a progamer to crushed in first round of GSL.

Banes and storm aren't good versus every single ground unit and building the opposition posseses;)

My contention was that 6 marauders shouldn't be able to do that, period. Could you imagine if 6 Stalkers could do that? If the person is out of position SLIGHTLY the nexus goes down in SECONDS, there is almost nothing you can do. Outplayed or not, they really shouldn't be able to do what they did.

Also after he got his nexus sniped, why didn't he invest in some cannons? 450-600 on cannons and the nexus wouldve still died. He had no intention of having the marauders live in the first place.
