Don't post in this thread to say "gay gamers are like everyone else, why do they have a special thread?" It is something that has been posted numerous times, and this isn't the place for that discussion.
For regular posters, don't quote the trolls. |

Sorry for saying what Im saying, it is not personal but I just have to say it :
To me grouping as gay people is just a huge double standard because all you guys want is to finally be acknowledge as same as every human yet the first thing you do is group together. I'm not saying this only for gay's, I find the same problem in cultural, regional grouping.

There is a difference between wanting to be treated equal and grouping together on common ground.
Religious groups, political groups, hobby groups, etc all group together on common interests yet they all expected to be treated equally as humans under law. It is not a double standard in the slightest. Furthermore the US has freedom of association anyway sooo...
Under your logic, a book club in highschool shouldn't expect to pay the same prices as everyone else at the cafeteria for lunch because they group together in a club? I don't get your logic.
As for gay people, grouping together is even more important for them than other groups as it is not easy for them to find each other in public and often suffer a lot of harassment. So I can't see why you'd think less of them for wanting to band together to not feel alone and persecuted all the time.

If you think about what you just said, you'll realize that this doesn't make any sense. Humans are social primates. And... what do you want people to do? Is it ok for you to have friends that like the same stuff as you? But if all those friends are the same skin color it's not ok? Tell me: do you or do you not look a lot like most of your friends and have similar backgrounds to them? How is the world to tell which groups you would consider ok and which groups you don't? When I want to hang out with some people, should I send you an email and ask if it's ok first?
It's just nonsense. There's no double standard. Your desire that people not "group together" just... doesn't make any sense, for anyone, not even you. Unless you live alone in a cave and never contact anyone. Except you're posting on a starcraft 2 messageboard and - guess what? - that's grouping together.

Really, you made an account for that? That's it?

You understand that disgust because you’ve experienced it in the other direction – that the thought of sticking my tongue inside a dank vagina made me want to puke.
Is this true for all homosexuals, that you are actually repulsed by a vagina? I kind of always assumed that it was more of a neutral mentality in which there is simply no attraction to the female figure / organs.

I kind of always assumed that it was more of a neutral mentality in which there is simply no attraction to the female figure / organs. Are all heterosexuals repulsed by penises? Are all homosexual women repulsed by vaginas? Again, too many people generalize the gays into "them" and "they", and assume that "homosexual" means a male person.
I'll have you know that I've been heterosexual and in no way repulsed by penises. I've simply not had sexual interest. Just because you aren't sexually aroused by something, doesn't mean you're also repulsed by it. If that was true, then I would never become bi, myself. I never "came out of the closet".
Also, have in mind that some gay people live in the belief that they represent ALL gays, the same way many other people believe they represent anyone but themselves. As such, they will (incorrectly) believe stuff to be true for the entire group and not just themselves. This is one of the greatest and worst popular myths of society - because it prevents us to see certain realities that could otherwise have developed humankind a lot further...
Anyways - I approve of this thread :D

I still wonder how this thread has managed to stay (mostly) free of idiotic chestbeating macho comments. I still remember the "peeing: standing vs sitting" thread that made me facepalm every second post. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=45718

People are so used to saying these things that nobody ever notices it and how insulting it can actually be at times.

The fact of the matter is that there's actually more straight people than gays (percentage-wise) who indulge in anal sex, but very few are aware of this because they either just assume otherwise, or they simply don't believe that straight people do it more. But it's a statistical fact, many gays are actually phobic towards anal sex, because of the social stigma it represents.
