Wow I got used to the banner so fast! And I voted for "love it" even before I got used to it fully.
It looks really professional.

I'm not sure how long will it take to fully get used to the sidebar though.

I like the new banner but i feel it clashes a bit with the lighter shades of blue on the sidebars and the rest of the site. The top of the site is almost black and the page slowly gets lighter and lighter until it's white in some spots, and black in others. It kind of hurts my eyes.

Though I do definitely like the banner.

It looks fantastic. You guys did an amazing job of updating the layout while maintaining everything that made it great.

I honestly wasn't a fan of the horse banner at all; never was (sorry), but I love the way you guys have integrated it into the new one.

Clean cut. The darker blue does seem to clash a bit with the sides though. Overall it gives off that professional look.

Love the new banner and menu bar, but the colors of the rest of the site don't fit with it.
The titlebars of 'News', 'General forum', 'Calendar' etc. should also be darkish blue with white text in it.
Same for the titlebars of the forum posts.
Can't remember if these are leftovers from the previous layout, but it certainly looks like it.
Change that and it's awesome

As a professional web designer for the last 15 years, all I have to say is this is how you do a redesign. You tweak it, you don't totally redo it. Love that this keeps the feel of the old site while updating it at the same time. Kudos to everyone involved.

When I look at it I think to much of a chess website with a knight on the banner

I like the old one better because I thought it was more exclusive to BW and SCII

It looks great, but whenever I load up and see all the edges clean-cut and angular it just feels, different. I guess I'm just too used to how it's always been
