WHY DO MEDIVACS HAVE PRIORITY?
WHY IS IT, THAT THE UNIT WHICH COVERS UP THE MARINE, HAS PRIORITY OVER THE MARINE?
My base just got wiped out by 6 marines and 6 medivacs, after my ling/bling failed to kill every single marine (only 80% of his force)
Apparently 6 marines and 6 medvacs can solo 12 mutas, simply because you cannot actually hit the marines if they are under the medivacs.
This needs to be fixed, its such bullshit.
ZvT is honestly not nearly as bad as people put it out to be, but retarded situations like this just make me want to rage.

Did you know...that you can choose which units your units can fire at?
I think its called mirco or morci or something.

did you know that you can't see the marines to click on them if the other player tells his medivacs to group up above the marines? I.e the entire point of this post.

Did you know that you can 1a2a mutaling and kill that entire force in about 3 seconds?
OR if all you have is mutas focus fire medivacs and marines die next..you'll lose like 3-4 mutas..maybe

Not when its in your mineral line and the lings can only hit 2 or 3 units, and the mutas can't do anything but shoot at the medivacs. I wiped out every unit but a few marines and 1 marauder, and still had all of my mutas. The terran just grouped his medvacs over his marines and sat in my base, there was nothing I could do other than reinforce with zerglings, which wasn't enough.
You really think you can focus fire down 6-8 medivacs before 6-10 marines kill your mutas? thats only what, 1000hp?

prepare lings with your mutas, problem solved?
this sounds like your fault, shouldve been more careful, seriously.

Imagine if medics had higher priority than marines. That shit would be ridiculous.

Its not that this situation is impossible to prevent or that it is totally broken...its just that it really shouldn't happen in the first place.
Why is a medivac (a non-combat unit), given attack priority over a marine (a combat unit)?

Exactly, and the worst part is the medvac obstructs the view of the marine.

Weren't people complaining about SCVs not having targeting priority when repairing Planetary Fortresses? This is pretty much the same situation. It isn't entirely unreasonable to have the medic unit be more of a priority.

You are saying that it would be reasonable to give the repairing unit priority If the SCV's had 150hp and flew over top of the PF completely obstructing its view? Just saying it like that makes it sound completely retarded.

I don't have SC2 so this is just a random thought, but couldn't you also make an invincible ball out of a lot of medivacs covering marines and SCVs?

Why not send your mutas in with your lings/banelings?
