So there were a couple "Fix my sleep schedule" blogs recently, about people who are sleeping and waking up at crazy, crazy hours. By recently, I mean sometime this year.
This is not that.
I mean, yeah, I'm sleeping kind of weirdly. 2:00 AM to noon is currently my sleep schedule. I can fix that no problem, though.
What I need help with is my eating schedule. Seriously, it's some messed up shit. As you guys may know, your whole body doesn't run on one clock. This is why jetlag sucks so much. It's not just your brain thinking it's 3:00AM when it's actually 3:00 PM. It's that combined with your kidneys thinking it's 7:30AM, your stomach thinking it's 4:00PM, and your pancreas (wtf?) thinking it's 26:40. Your pancreas is very bad at telling time. Sorry.
So these days I've been eating 1 meal per day. I'm not exactly out and exercising, so my caloric needs aren't very high. Regardless, I should be eating more. I basically wake up at noon, when other people are eating lunch, and think "I should maybe eat breakfast or brunch, but I'm not hungry." Later, my family eats dinner, so I also eat dinner. Then they all go to sleep like normal people. Then, as the hours pass, I get hungrier and hungrier. It's now basically morning and I could eat an entire 20-ounce steak or something. But when I wake up tomorrow morning, alas, I will not eat a 20-ounce steak. I won't be hungry at all.
Halp?

First, waking up at noon isn't a big deal. Sometimes I wake up at 2pm, or even 4pm on occasion.
As for your appetite... why are you fasting right now if you are hungry? Eat something. If you want to take it to an extreme, set a goal to gain weight in the form of muscle and start working out/lifting weights and I guarantee you'll be both motivated to eat and hungry to eat.

ive been eating pretty much one meal a day my whole life(never eat breakfast or lunch), and i do sports and have a physical job etc etc.
i just eat when im hungry, why are you not eating if you're hungry wtf do your cupboards have locks or something

Just start eating when you think you should eat, after a few days you'll be hungry at those times.

don't want to brag, but i wake up at 6pm also, just eat when your hungry

I fall asleep at 7 am and wake up at 4 pm. I have no problems with this currently, but when I go to school in sept it will naturally change back because im forced to change it. It's currently the summer and when my life is unregulated by stupid eduacasion institutions my sleep schedule runs free like a naked man in field of horses.

My sleep schedule is about 12 hours flipped, and I eat one meal a day to compensate for my odd metabolism.
Yet I'm still totally healthy... To be honest, just eat what you want when you want. If there's something you have to force your schedule around, do it... but I mean, this is summer so all us bums are just kind of lazing around doing whatever.

I've read a study/article a while ago (that i cant find now... oh wait, here it is mentioned: http://parentingsquad.com/easy-way-to-reset-your-sleep-cycle-stop-eating and http://www.sciencefriday.com/program/archives/200805234) that said that you can effectively control your sleep and eating cycle by depriving yourself from food for a while. Basically it says that if you dont get food for 14-16 hours, the moment you finally get something to eat, your body is going to set your sleep cycle so you wake up at that time the next day. So skip dinner and the night snack, force yourself to get up early the next day and have breakfast: hopefully from that on you'll wake up at the same time, hungry.

Smoking weed always makes me extremely hungry. So just smoke when it's a normal meal time. Weed is also used in a medical purpose for patients who've had a chemotherapy and always have nausea.
It also works great to fix your sleep schedule. I've been a huge insomniac, and smoking weed at 11pm everyday helped me to cure my insomnia.

I have gone through the weirdest sleeping schedules, though one thing I tried to keep as normal as possible was my eating habits. If I woke up at 3pm I would have lunch, then proceed like normal. If I woke up 6-7pm I would wait for a while and have a good dinner, then eat again at about 3-4 am something light to help me hold until I sleep again at 6-7am.
I've had friends who would get up at 5-6 pm and have coffee or whatever they had as breakfast then have dinner at really weird hours like 2 am etc. All I had to do to get "normal" again was to fix my sleeping pattern, while they had to go through reprogramming their whole organism like you described.
I suggest you started trying to do the same slowly but steadily and try to have normal-ish meals. It's just a matter of habit and the pain period is not that long usually, as long as you don't "cheat" and start falling back to your "wrong" habits.

This summer I have been working night hours, basically that means I'm going to bed at 4-5 AM and sleeping until 1-2pm. As it happens, i'm also fairly intrested in eating healthy, so I still stick to 3 meals per day. Eating "lunch" when i wake up, dinner before work (at around 6-7 pm) and before I go to bed I will have breakfast. This works great for me, getting enough nutritions and calories.

eat smaller meals. not like actually meals, but just snack on something in between (doesn't even need to be healthy). eventually your metabolism should pick up, and you'll develop an appetite.

I used to have the same problem in the summers in high school. I realized it was because: 1. I slept too much (8 hours is enough, believe it or not) 2. I didn't have much exercise (compared to the school year i had football, 2 hours every day) 3. I was always eating so I was never hungry and I always felt full-ish 4. I had no day routine so my body was completely thrown whenever i decided to eat or not.
If you wake up earlier you'll eat breakfast or at least brunch and avoid the 1 meal-per day thing (which may or may not be healthy, I don't know). This worked for me but as we know everyone is different.

Woah, 538. That's actually really cool. I'm going to try that.
And I ate a lunch today! Miraculous! Whenever I wake up there's this really nasty taste in my mouth, which kind of discourages me from eating. I kind of got over it, though.
Yesterday, I had 1 meal. Today, I will have two meals. Tomorrow, I'll go for the standard three meals. By the end of this month, I will be eating about 30 meals per day!
