Mu counter is a basic program to know your win ratio per match-up - Current version : 1.1.6 you can always download it here : https://sourceforge.net/projects/mucounter/files/
### VERSION 1.1.6 Note : ##
- added custom/ladder filter - added a filter by patch - added code modularity (like anyone here cares) - added some safety nets to avoid crashiwhen using button in wrong order... - sort name by alphabetical order in the filter windows - removed debug console information
First, note that this program is (still) not that stable : We are aware of some issues so if you have some issue try to follow this simple steps !
0 > download it in here : https://sourceforge.net/projects/mucounter/files/ (mu_counter-win32-vX.X.X.zip) 1 > run the program. 2 > Write your nick on the top blank. 3 > choose your directory via the "browse directory" button. 4 > press the "process".
AFTER THAT, you can press the "change map pool" or "change adversary pool" button in order to filter the replay and get more specific statistics.
you can filter the result by map Pool (only count specific maps), by adversary pool (basically if you wanna know your result against a specific friend or remove some specific adversary), by game type (custom or ladder), by patch (since I didn't find the date anywhere...)
* Windows * We are on Windows (32-bits version) but users report that it works on every windows system (Xp/Vista/Seven-32/64bits).
* Linux * I tried it myself on a Linux (Ubuntu Lucid) through WINE and it 'worked'. I mean everything seems to work except the browse directory thing. Basically, you must place the program DIRECTLY INTO THE REPLAY FOLDER and just let the '.' into the field aside the "browse directory" button. DO NOT CLICK ON THE BROWSE BUTTON, it mess up the whole thing up.
* mac * I have finally find someone with a mac, and the program seems to launch via crossover after 10 seconds (which is basically WINE for mac) but couldn't test anything else (he's not playing sc2) so I'm assuming it's working at least as 'well' as on Linux (it's the same pgm...). here is the tuto page here is the tierce program to download if you don't know anything!
'?' means any race (it's just a sum of other lines). I currently have no way to know if someone was random when he launched the game) (If you wish ? = T+P+Z).
FEATURES we MAY implement in the near future (if we find where the information hold in the replays files): - filter by date and then some graphics to win ratio over time. - filter by game duration.
KNOWN ISSUES - some replay (< 10%) are just wrong. I mean they work (if you run them with sc2), but they seem to have a weird syntax we cannot work out yet (ex : There is 4+ players with no obs on a 1v1 map, or you appear twice with different races). There is not much we can do about it in the near future. - old replays are just not working because the replays files did change during the beta! We won't try to make them work...
If you have some idea to improve this program and it is feasable we will try to do it !
Big Thanks to the sc2gears team for helping us understand the replay format.
Cyanure,
PS : the program is under licence GPL v3, so you can download the source code on sourceforge.net via SVN !

Cool beans. If you get it cleaned up a bit it would work great. It's too bad you aren't going to get the old replays to work That's when I played most of my games. Oh wells, as long as you update it with the new patch after they start the beta again then it's all good.
|
What do you mean by "cleaned up" ? I should probably have remove all the debug messages in the console beforehand...
for the old replays : I just do not know how they work, so it would mean double the work...
|
The current version is working great on Windows 7.

Interesting, according to that my mu at the moment is :
TvP : 11 win(s) & 9 loss(es) : 55% TvT : 15 win(s) & 8 loss(es) : 65.217% TvZ : 16 win(s) & 7 loss(es) : 69.565% Tv? : 42 win(s) & 24 loss(es) : 63.636%
|
Backpack > 32bit or 64bit or who the hell cares about bits?
|
TvP : 7 win(s) & 2 loss(es) : 77.777% TvT : 8 win(s) & 2 loss(es) : 80% TvZ : 4 win(s) & 3 loss(es) : 57.142% Tv? : 19 win(s) & 7 loss(es) : 73.076%
Thing to note is most of these are from silver to diamond because my placement matches got messed up and I'm rightfully diamond :V
Edit: Also maybe you should have Phantom BGH off by default because I was p. confused about my rank aha

not working for me, but im on windows 7 64 bit and like you said, its not working for it- haha
|
PvP : 8 win(s) & 6 loss(es) : 57.142% PvT : 6 win(s) & 6 loss(es) : 50% PvZ : 6 win(s) & 2 loss(es) : 75% Pv? : 20 win(s) & 14 loss(es) : 58.823%
Surprised that I have 50% against terran.. thought I lost like 90% of them.. I wish I didnt delete most of my replays so I could see more accurate stats
|
Didn't realize my PvZ was almost as bad as my PvT. Like really bad lol. I'm a beast at PvP though :D

What's not working for you?
I was able to use the tool fine.

Seems working for me. It doesn't work for 2v2s right? Anyway, my stats
PvP : 3 win(s) & 1 loss(es) : 75% PvT : 1 win(s) & 0 loss(es) : 100% PvZ : 0 win(s) & 2 loss(es) : 0% Pv? : 4 win(s) & 3 loss(es) : 57.142%
TvP : 9 win(s) & 0 loss(es) : 100% TvT : 13 win(s) & 2 loss(es) : 86.666% TvZ : 7 win(s) & 0 loss(es) : 100% Tv? : 29 win(s) & 2 loss(es) : 93.548%
ZvP : 2 win(s) & 3 loss(es) : 40% ZvT : 6 win(s) & 1 loss(es) : 85.714% ZvZ : 1 win(s) & 3 loss(es) : 25% Zv? : 9 win(s) & 7 loss(es) : 56.25%
?vP : 14 win(s) & 4 loss(es) : 77.777% ?vT : 20 win(s) & 3 loss(es) : 86.956% ?vZ : 8 win(s) & 5 loss(es) : 61.538% ?v? : 42 win(s) & 12 loss(es) : 77.777%
Does it read all the replays from Patch 1 - 16? Cause I have yet to filter them out lol.
|
As I said in OP, it just doesn't work on old replays. If I remember correctly, replays before patch 13 are just ignored (because they have a wrong format).

Awesome program. Really nice to finally see these stats.
Blizzard shouldn't be forcing us to jump through these hoops just to figure out something so basic. We're doing their work for them.
ZvP : 21 win(s) & 13 loss(es) : 61.764% ZvT : 30 win(s) & 11 loss(es) : 73.17% ZvZ : 20 win(s) & 22 loss(es) : 47.619% Zv? : 71 win(s) & 46 loss(es) : 60.683%
Apparently i'm 5-10 on Scrap Station and 14-3 on Steppes of War. I had no idea.

People like you who do this stuff for free are what make gaming communities so great.
Thanks for the super awesome program
|
This confirms my suspicions, I suck at ZvT. Great application, would be awesome if this would be combined with sc2gears :3
|
Awesome program! We appreciate it greatly. Too bad my sample size isn't quite high enough.
|
Awesome tool. I really wish blizzard would incorporate something like this into the b.net interface (obviously not as pressing an issue as other b.net features, but it would be nice to eventually have). My matchup stats were about where I thought they would be. The map filter was a little shocking though... I dominated a couple maps in all matchups (LT and kulas ravine) but also did really poor on metalopolis (mainly PvZ), scrap station, and blistering sands. Also did pretty well on incineration zone, which was surprising because I really don't like that map.
Anyway, great work, I look forward to future improvements!
