I can easily tell that this program can't distinguish between custom games and auto-matchmaking games. No way that I could I have 68% winrate vs toss and 74% vs terran unless one was to count the custom games I play for practice or to help others. I can understand 80% ZvZ though, cause I hardly play any ZvZ in custom games, and know I am good at it. Kinda disappointing results from me and everyone else, cause it doesn't really show any significant trends. (this is at least mostly due to damn custom games) I guess in the future I can try saving all matchmaking games to a new folder, but it would be hard to me to remember. There was a program someone wrote to make www.starcraftrankings.com ; that same type of code could be used to detect the results of matchmaking games. Of course this is limited in the sense that it would only work while the server's up and accounts aren't wiped, but it's still important and useful information.

The sourcecode is *almost* compatible with mac, but we would need someone with a mac, some basic programing background, and a lot of will to make mac binaries... And even after that, you'll need Qt to make it work. On Windows, i can just add the ".ddl"s to make it work on any computer. On mac, anyone who wants to use it will have to compile Qt first... and last time someone I know tried, it was a pain (it worked eventually, but it took hours and multiple other libraries installation). If someone know some kind of trick to emulate that... On June 16 2010 16:30 Xapti wrote: Great program! but there's obviously the huge issue of custom games right now. I can easily tell that this program can't distinguish between custom games and auto-matchmaking games. It actually can't distinguish in his current version [1.0.3] (next most probably will). I couldn't find this information in the first place, if you absolutely need to know it right now, you can check your adversary pool and remove everyone you have practiced with (that is the main use of this feature anyway). It's clearly suboptimal, but it may be slightly better. btw, next version will come today or tomorrow...

And when he says be very careful, what he really means is that all the data in this thread is completely meaningless for drawing balance conclusions: ie NOT statistically significant. Let's go ahead and leave balance discussion out of this one. Blizzard has data on thousands (possibly millions?) of games; and, unless we get access to it, we really don't have a leg to stand on. On the other hand, the code does help identify "leaks" in one's own play if a certain matchup is hurting and you haven't noticed.

You'd think this thing would be implemented into bnet 2.0 by now though, since these statistics were already present in the WC3 profiles.

![]() VoodooDog, do you have recent replays in your directory? Did you put the name that you used in-game, with the upper-case characters where needed?
