These stupid cheaters are stealing the limelight from what otherwise would be history in the making; Flash possibly sweeping both starleagues, a JD vs Flash possible rematch, Effort's possible crazy-fast revival, etc...
Savior, I loved you once, but now I absolutely loathe you. And just because you were undeniably Bonjwa doesn't save you from anything; in fact, that makes it worse for you and for ESPORTS. You were a figure everyone looked up to and respected. So disappointed.
A) Players are still shining now, even if people like you can't see it because of controversies that affect a small minority of them.
B) Even if/when names are named, you can't be guaranteed that they were the only ones involved (and likely they weren't), only that they were the only ones caught (with enough evidence to accuse/convict), so again, you not being able to enjoy e-sports or what not won't change if this is indeed your reasoning.
C) Boxer will be just fine, as will e-sports.

Savior -- farting on the house of cards Boxer built.

I think...its a little more sturdy than a house of cards at this point. The fart stinks, but it won't knock anything over.

Depends...the Warcraft map incident ended Warcraft in South Korean and killed its popularity. Will this have the same impact?
I think we should assume the worst and work ourselves from there.

Lol you don't assume the worse, that's the same as saying EVERYONE PANIC! You prepare for the worse if you're cautious yes. Though it's not like most people on TL can really do anything or the TL staff for that matter. Really just preparing for the worse for a fan would be wondering what they would do or how they would feel if E-Sports fell which is pretty pointless.

- Few of the players are "essentially retired" (Savior, Justin) - Savior claimed that he has never rigged a match, and refused to accept his contract being terminated. CJ believed him until the evidence became overwhelming, and was really surprised when they discovered Savior was indeed throwing matches - The fates of most of the players haven't been decided yet

so they still keeping savior O_o
|
Yeah, sounds about right. Ah well, life moves on.

I dunno if this is necessarily all bad...though most of it is (savior wtf QQ)
If you stop to think about most sports we know today (basketball, baseball, soccer) all go through some sort of scandal phase right...i mean steroid abuse, etc etc.
Maybe... E-Sport coming up to be officially recognized professional!? :D

He's still on some team pics on the site and whatnot - also he's still on the english website...

Hi guys, you know match fixing in pro BW has been going on for years. No suprise to me. So why now with the scandals? Blizzard are wanting to promote SC2. BW is a great userbase for SC2 sales, but it's also a stumbling block for conservatives that want to stay BW ( me included! ) . This is the 1st in a series of scandals that'll be hitting pro-BW over the next year or so. The idea of course is to diminish the credibilty of BW wrt to korean media and thus all BW media. Character assasination. After reducing the pro-BW korean to a mess with scandals and other tricks, blizzard will step in with refurb grants on the condition that they all shift to SC2. Bastards. Nothing we can do. Even a 100% unified TL member embargo on SC2 would not discourage blizzard from this course of action. The BW community is going to be forcably converted to SC2.

Sounds like a fair assessment. Also, 9/11 was an inside job, swine flu vaccine is a government conspiracy to make us stupid so we're easier to control, they put crazy toxines in the water system, theres free masons and reptilians everywhere, killing us with gattling guns while we're not looking.
So yer totly awesome troll =D

any chance that the power failure in the msl was a kespa official paid to make sure jaedong won?
what about that winners league where jaedong took the first three games and the lost to skyhigh, and then skyhigh all killed the rest of the oz team? did it seem odd that the oz coach put out players no one had ever heard of to face skyhigh? was he paid to throw the series?
what about that time bisu didnt block his ramp in a gomtv tournament and jaedong destroyed him?
i guess my point is, can we believe that any of these results are genuine? well i dont think bisu threw that match but you get the picture.

Personally, I think what type b did is pretty cool. Sure, we don't know if he really regrets it on a moral level (more likely he regrets it because he got caught lol), but in this case, what type b wrote was not just an apology, but a public confession - which I think is a more responsible act than shutting your mouth and pretending you're not guilty and you don't even know what you did wrong on an intellectual level like the other scumbags have been doing so far. Moreover, I give him props for being the first to get over himself and do it. Savior is just looking ever more deplorable the longer he waits to even admit to his fault.
In other words, from me, without knowing all the details surrounding the apology and upon whose appeal it was written, type b may have earned a small respect point for knowing when it's time to gg, if nothing else.
That said, still fuck him and the other cheatbags.

Scene: Mike Morhaime's office, a darkened room covered in Blizzard memorabilia. Mike Morhaime sits behind his desk, stroking a cat.
Dustin Browder enters the room, and silently kneels before him.
Dustin: What is thy bidding, my master?
Morhaime: There is a great disturbance in the fanbase.
Dustin: I have felt it, my master.
Morhaime: Many of the e-sports fans are not switching over to SC2. They believe the Korean BroodWar leagues are more competitive and...fun to watch. (Morhaime sneers)
Dustin: But Kespa is just a small organization. Boxer can no longer help them...
Morhaime: They could severely lessen our sales. Already, they have succeeded in getting SC2 rated Adults Only in Korea. If they continue to oppose us, the damage would be great.
Dustin: But...if Kespa could be turned, they would be a powerful ally...
Morhaime: Yes...yes...but can it be done? We have negotiated with them for three years, and still they refuse to bow to our whims.
Dustin: If they cannot be turned...they will be destroyed.
Morhaime: Yes...but how? Our greatest legal and parapsychological pressure has been ineffective against them.
Dustin: Through Blizzard Korea and my contacts in the Illuminati, I have acquired certain information concerning the Korean progamers and proteams. Information about match-fixing scandals, involving the top echelon of players in Korea...including sAviOr himself.
Morhaime: Excellent! This information that could severely damage Kespa. I will travel to Korea immediately, and begin spreading this information among the Korean e-sports media. Kespa will be utterly destroyed!
Dustin: But what if they survive?
Morhaime: Do not worry, my servant. Through my contacts in the International Jesuit Conspiracy, I have acquired even more damaging information than this. If they will not bow to us, then they will find themselves shaken by scandal after scandal, until nothing at all remains of them but dust and ashes. And then, once Kespa is gone, we will step in, and take over all of e-sports. Starcraft 2's ascendancy will be assured!
Dustin: But what if some of the fans discover what we're doing? What if they connect us to the scandal?
Morhaime: That is unlikely. But even if they do, even if all of the foreign e-sports fans rebel against us...Kespa will fall, and there is nothing they can do to stop us. Mwa ha ha ha ha! (Morhaime subsides into maniacal laughter)
Dustin: So be it, my master.
Dustin rises to his feet, and exits the office.
Mike Morhaime stands up slowly, and whispers an incantation over his cat. The cat transforms into a massive wing-ed HELLBEAST, which Morhaime leaps upon and rides off in the direction of Korea, cackling madly.
Was this about what you had in mind?
