...all thanks to Flash.
There is this feeling you get whenever you know that someone is too good for the game. The game completely revolves around this player, and nothing in the game other than the player seems to matter. No other player seems to matter anymore (with the exception of Jaedong), as the first thing that you do is compare them to Flash and realize that they are nothing. When Flash loses, it's a big fucking deal, enough for fantasy to start jumping up and down like a maniac or for Stork to start making jealous comments. No other strategy seems to matter, it doesn't matter if you can think of some new strategy, Flash is there to overwhelm anything. All other players seem to completely pale in comparison.
And then you watch the Flash games, and you realize that, he's going to win. Doesn't matter if you can take an early game advantage, you're getting outmacro'd and outmultitasked. Your cheese only works when you get extremely lucky and kill that scv when the Barracks is 99% complete. And even when your vultures come in, the vulture gets surrounded by SCVs and killed. Doesn't matter what strat the opponent uses, you know Flash will win, the only question is how badly. And in the off chance Flash loses a legitimate game, it's an uproar.
It's almost as if, at this stage, there is nothing new under the sun. Flash's dominance is so suffocating that I believe that it is extremely difficult to think about any other player without thinking "man, how bad is Flash going to rape this guy". Everything, strategies, player rank, etc, all seems to be completely set in stone, and if not, of little significance.
I can't get myself to watch this game anymore. Flash has broken the game.

Personally I love it when someone like flash comes along it's something amazing for someone to dominate in something so competitive.

Welcome to the new age of starcraft, the age of Lee Young Ho

Efforts going to change that pretty soon don't worry.

When I was watching flash vs fantasy ace match, I was so excited. If it was just any other player, I would have just lol'd.

I remember back when Savior revolutionized ZvP. It was awful for all Protoss players. I couldn't watch any ZvP matches, especially involving Savior, since I was certain the zerg player was going to win. That was how it was.
Then Bisu came along and 3-0'd him.
Reigns end. Flashs' will as well, but I fear it will only be because SC2 comes out. He looks absolutely beastly right now: 2400 ELO seemed impossible not so long ago, and now 2450 is not that far away. Absolutely sickening.

god, hes not even that good... i mean look at other sports where teams/players go undefeated the whole season. flash loses about 1/5 of the time. maybe sc is different or w/e in that respect but its not to the point where its not fun to watch.

I hope not, if Flash retired undeafeated, professional Brood War would be worse for it. The thought of reaching the end of the line of starcraft evolution. That is a scary thought.

The more invincible Flash looks to someone, the worse they understand the game.
Sure he's the best player ever and is the heavy favourite against every player not named Jaedong, but he has off days too. You can still see holes in his gameplay and times where he messes up. That's why I find it so interesting to watch his games, it's the best but still not perfect.

flash hasn't revolutionized anything, he is just flat-out better than everyone. that's fucking hard to topple.
watching flash is awesome, though; you might know who is going to win the match, but the way he makes his opponent look like a confused noob is always good stuff.

I can't enjoy starcraft as much thanks to Bisu and firebathero, and Stork is not doing so good either. And just when I am starting to like a player, Flash comes along and rapes the shit out of them (see Kal, Free, Pure, MVP).
I guess this is a great era if you are a fan of terran or Flash, but seeing your favorite players' souls crushed really takes away from the enjoyment of watching the game. I don't mind if a player sits at the top, like Jaedong, but when someone who looks so invincible in TvP (I am a fan of good protoss players), it really takes away from competition which in turn breeds enjoyment.
Flash's TvT and TvZ both are strong but does not look invincible on VODs so it is fun watching because you can feel the competition in them against tough opponents. But god damn his TvP is so fucking solid that it is frustrating to watch on my part as a toss fan and player. I am like, wtf is a guy suppose to do against this shit.
/End rant

Flash will sit on Kal's face, just you guys watch
I hope stork starts doing good, hes the only protoss player i can bear watch at the moment

Do you understand how extremely hard it is to go undefeated? Have you ever heard the term "Any Given Sunday"? It's a term very easily applied to starcraft. If you don't know what it means, take a look at this brief definition: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=any given sunday
You say Flash loses 1/5 of the time, as if he's bad. It is nothing short of MIND BLOWING that he loses only 1/5 of the time, if not less. In order to win, you need to train incredibly hard. Factor in that he is the pillar of support for KT Rolster in the proleague, that he is in the finals of BOTH individual leagues, and that a game can be won or lost on the slightest misclick or half a second of blindness... Not to mention that he plays against the BEST OF THE BEST. They are called "PROGAMERS" for a reason... And aside from the fact that he has to play A LOT games on top of that (meaning he's obviously bound to lose some), just because flash may lose to somebody that he's "supposed to beat" (which, in reality, is everyone) doesn't make him "bad" or any less dominant.
Take a moment to think about that.

I loooove watching flash play. I love it for the same reason I love watching Anderson Silva in the UFC. It's so awesome to see someone play at the very, very top of their respective sport. Sure, it sucks for the person who has to play against them, but if I've learned anything about sports by following the starcraft scene for the past 8 years it's this: The best don't stay the best forever. There will come a time when flash is toppled. It might not be any time soon, but it will happen.

You mean aside from the fact that he brought the reign of the 6 dragons to an end with his double armory goliath build?
