Game balance at the pro level will be patched by illegal betting. The stronger races will take losses stupidly for money. Game balance will be partially balanced by a lot of trial and error. If pros start doing well on one map then people will make another. If all the pros do one strategy, then it will get nerfed. Imo it should be easier to balance SC2 because from what I see none of the units have some superstrong abilities/tricks like dark swarm, consume, carrier range, hold lurkers, muta stacking, tanks, reavers, dark templar, corsairs, medics(well terran did get marauders so...), and storm(the essentials of the original) have been toned down or removed. I don't own beta though so I wouldn't know. The move from irradiate to HSM may have even been an improvement. The game balancing for the majority of starcraft players will be balanced by the fact that if one race is easier, the players playing that race will move up to a higher division and start facing better players than themselves and will start losing. | ||
