Which one would you pick? I think these programers already make a lot.. to them honor is more than $$. lol 20k is alot of money, if someone said to me 'hey you want this trophy or 20k?' id take the 20k lol During savior dominance with prize money factored in he was making like 2 mil a year in US dollars. Um? Lol yeah pretty vague memory not really sure but i swear there is a thread laying around here just about how much money savior was making. You're off a digit bud. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=50285200k, not 2mil. No, he's remembering wrong. Yeah lol i just dug that up too lol funny what you remember eh(the guy said 2 mil in the start of that thread later corrected and that's what i remembered). Anyways i hope rumors are just rumors don't need anymore programmers robbin convince stores.

Which one would you pick? I think these programers already make a lot.. to them honor is more than $$. the amounts could have been much bigger when you're as famous as savior your $ expectation is really not that much bigger than the difference between 2nd and 1st place (unless contract renegotiation time is soon). and anyways, even if you're trying your hardest you're not guaranteed to win so you can lock up free $. of course it's retarded and risky and dishonorable to take a bribe like that, but when you're a naive video game playing kid and someone is waving tens of thousands of dollars in your face...it's hard for a person to see the big picture.
I think it actually is the better move to take the bribes since typically this type of career is short lived.

It's actually really hard to play badly and make it subtle unless you're Backho and can just get away with suiciding random shit. I've tried to throw games before and other than leaving bases undefended and suiciding armies it's tricky. Poor control and bad macro are hard to fake.

I wonder how much they had to pay savior to throw his games vs FBH lol

When I read Waxangel's blog, I immediately thought "OMG THIS IS IT!" But since Rek didn't have any prior proof of it, I guess not...
I remembered this too, when I read the rumors of match fixing in the April Roster Changes thread.

If it was a ton of big name players I'm sure that KeSPA/MBC/OGN or whoever would probably actually be hurt more than helped by banning them publicly rather than keeping it a secret, what with all the drama that would surround it and losing potentially a lot of fans of those players from watching SC anymore.
