Why are they so irritating to try to find online. I keep looking for one for my heat transfer book and keep getting this douchebags post in a pdf saying he has solutions manuals and im assuming he sells them or something
Anyone know any good places to get Solution Manuals for your classes? Ive tried looking for torrents for mine and rapidshare files on google and cant find shit
my book is called "Introduction to Heat Transfer" 5th Edition, Incropera/Dewitt/Bergman/Lavine
Maybe this post can direct other people to solution manuals they need or e-books as well, assuming this is per site policy.

Have you tried asking people who have already taken the class for their work; our professors would usually post pdf files of the answers (but not from a solutions manual).
I remember that copying from the solutions manual can be dangerous, I know a bunch of ME's who got busted when it turned out the solutions manual did a part wrong and a bunch of people copied it verbatim.

i have no desire to copy, I want to make sure im on the right track. Sometimes its not possible to get out to office hours either because of other commitments or having a class during that period. You can always reschedule but having a solutions manual to at least attempt to understand some of the stuff helps. Everyone fucking copies in my ME classes and its gay as hell because it fucks it up for everyone since the prof doesnt think that what hes giving us is bad then hell give us ugly problems on tests and everyone bombs but they have higher homework scores than me since they copied and boom i get a lower grade than them because of it.
Obviously I go to office hours when I can but as I said before its not always possible.

If you can't easily find one available online in torrented form, then it probably does not exist. Usually the more popular books have solutions, otherwise you would have to be really lucky for someone to scan hundreds of pages of an obscure textbook and upload them somewhere. And those .pdf lists of solution manuals that you can "buy" are all scams.

Also I found the solutions for your book on demonoid.com Its for the 4th edition, but according to the comments 99% of the questions are the same as the 5th edition.
If its on demonoid then you can probably find it easily elsewhere. I dunno if you have an invite to the site or not but if you don't let me know and I can invite you.

thanks, the demonoid torrent is going super slow

I have the solutions as well as the entire digital text of the 6th edition if you are interested. It's funny our class used the 6th, but i bought a hard copy of the 5th because it was so much cheaper and the content was nearly identical. IIRC, some problems were identical right down to the number and numerical values used.

Try cramster.com for some textbooks, it has answers and explanations of all the odds, and if you pay a membership fee it has the evens too.

Definitely based on the popularity of the books. My friend has pretty much all the chemical engineering books we will use for the next two years, but I can't find one for Asmar's Partial Differential Equations. The author posted solutions for (1 + 4n, n a natural number), but of course the instructor only assigns evens.
Solutions manuals are helpful, but make sure you try it FIRST! I'm sure you know that, but I'd just like to make that PSA...

Do you have access to a solutions manual? I would recommend opening up the solutions manual to a random page and copying a sentence word for word. Put it in quotes in google....if google finds the text, that means it found that particular page of the solutions manual.
So if there is an OCRed version on the web, you should be able to find it that way.

Also look on P2P. We have a direct connect server at our school and you can find a lot by searching the course. Of course it depends on how many people take it, but for required engineering courses usually someone has solutions.
