I am so buying tons of stuff with all these holiday sales. The steam one especially, and also gog.com has a fantastic sale. So far I've bought about 120 games(lost count).
Steam: -GTA4 -Atari 80 classic games pack -id super pack -unreal deal pack(unreal tournaments and unreal+unreal 2) -AaaAaAAAaa(awesome indie falling game) -Cogs -Braid -Rainbow six vegas 2 -World of Goo -Railroad Tycoon 2 Platinum -Torchlight -Commandos: Behind enemy Lines -RIP Trilogy
gog.com: -Freespace 2 -Flatout
Basically I am addicted to buying games at unbeatable prices...

GameStop is having a buy 2 get 1 on used games. While not the greatest sale of all time, I went in and picked up Atelier Iris (PS2), Okami (PS2) and Culdcept Saga (360) for around $30.

you've bought....120 games??
|
Do you mean $120 worth of games?
120 is really excessive.
I haven't bought anything this holiday season, and I'm proud of it

There were a sick amount of deals on Steam, most of them below the $10 mark, with quite a few of them below $5. Still potentially a couple hundred bucks, and overkill for sure, but if the deal is good enough, most of us can't resist. I know I still have a stack of PS2 games I've never played, that I picked up at crazy prices over the years (Dragon Quest VIII for $10?! It just came out a month ago!).
Edit: He also picked up the ID super pack (23 games) and the Unreal pack (5 games). So cuts out most of the glut.

didnt VIII come out like 3-4 years ago

Maybe I should add quotation marks to my post, as it's what I said at the time, not now.

Ive lost count how many times I have bought the battle chest.
I still remember digging through the Costco piles and found it, good times(I was only about 13, I think).

The real question is: are you ever going to play ALL of them?
|
The only games that I'm going to buy are Starcraft II and Diablo III.
I'll probably be dead before Starcraft III comes out so ...

Lol. I have't even spent $100 yet. Yes I counted the atari 80 pack as one, and a lot of the other packs counted as a lot(over 20 games in the id pack, 3 games in the RIP trilogy, 10 in the unreal deal pack).
Im sure i'll get around to playing all of them at some point...before steam gets hacked and we lose all our data I hope.

I'm getting about 18-20 frames per second according to the in-game graphics test but in game it almost never feels that slow. I'm running a 2.2 Core 2 duo, 4 gigs of RAM and a 240 GT. The game looks fucking gorgeous and by default I have everything on high setting. My graphics card can handle it, and yours should as well. However, the problem is that you need a quad core to get anything over 30 fps in GTA4. For whatever reason Rockstar decided to make the most CPU intensive game ever which is it didn't have to be if it wasn't just a cheap port of the console versions (I think PS3 has like 7 processors or something crazy).
