Bars to visit, good places to eat, places where I can make it rain on some hoes. Stories about your horrible and savage drunk adventures are also welcome! I will be in the Quarter.

Might want to find something else to do with the hos.

I'll try to remember some of the names of the nicer places we went to there, though.

voodoo barbecue for amazing cheap meals. Lots of good bars downtown and uptown. Really can't go wrong with walking around, just avoid the ninth ward.

If you don't like bourbon street go to Decatur. There are some more bars along Decatur and its a good place to be. If you're still not happy or just looking for more than come out to some Frenchman Street bars, this and on Decatur near this street is where most of the locals hang out. I haven't listed any bars because you can practically go from one bar to the next. My favorite bar is probably One Eyed Jacks, I have seen some incredibly good shows there. If you're looking for day time activities, you should check out our Aquarium of the Americas. It is a really good Aquarium and unless you hate life you'll enjoy it. Our zoo wasn't as impressive but I haven't been in quite awhile (I plan on checking it out in the spring/summer next year). Also we just had an insectarium open up about a year ago and im going this weekend. Also dont forget you can drink and eat all over the city during the day too. Here is some random shit to avoid: 1) Most tourists wear mardi gras beads regardless of what time it is during the year. It makes you look like a tourist, so people will identify you as a tourist which could be both a negative or positive experience. 2) When someone bets you a dollar they can tell you where you got your shoes at, the answer is on your feet/socks/or other random bullshit thing to try to guilt you into giving up some money to a bum. 3) Same thing for how many babies your dad had (none--your mom had them all). I could go on, but you should come out and take a look around, there are a lot of things you'll find out just walking around or talking to people. Most of the people here are friendly, but there are assholes too just like everywhere else.
