Apparently you haven't been reading the official TSL Ladder Standing thread to know this.
1 and a half months ago Morrow was as good as Machine. Many of us are aware of his antics, but can you say you expected this guy to claim the number 2 slot? Fuck no. Morrow himself would never claim he was capable of such a feat until low and behold. He's still number 2. Fuck, Greg cannot even say he expected himself to sit next to Morrow.
NO ONE did. :. This is the most impressive feat considering no one expected it.

Idra's A+ imo. And he only played koreans to get it. Even if any other foreigner get this rank it will only be achieved thru korean dodging and playing some of his friends..

5! Ukraine Flags in top 20! Go Ukraine, lol

IdrA hate is strong. Even an A+ pales in comparison to yosh's 57-0 win streak? Are you kidding me?

this poll is pretty sensationalized. Yosh going 57-0 at the end of a season isn't THAT big of a deal. We've had people do that kind of thing before. It was great sure but it doesn't measure up to IdrA VERSUS KOREANS going A+ SOLID.
Doesn't measure up at all.
|
Idras A+ no doubt. Yosh's streak is impressive but i believe a lot of top foreigners would be capable of such a feat given a bit of luck with opponents and cheese. Idra is the only one who can get A+ playing koreans (yes even though he migt have played most of the games against A- guys he has also beaten A koreans).
Morrow being number 2 is surprising but given the dodging and choosing of opponents it isn't as impressive since other "underdogs" like octzerg have clearly shown that it is possible to reach a higher ranking in this ladder system than arguably better, but less abusive players.

lol that'd be hilarious is idra gets beat out by morrow- now "he'll have done something impressive." ;p

Idra's A+ obv...morrow is hardcore dodger, and 700 games in 2 weeks kinda impressive but nowhere near as impressive as A+
|
i dont think most people realize that ALL players in TSL has been dodging except for a few gamers like ret, idra, white ra,kolll. its just a question how much you have been dodging
ive been dodging alot but also keep in mind there have been 3 times more player who have dodged me than i have dodged others
if anyone could get #2 by dodging then i wouldnt still be #2
im not trying to promote myself saying im most impressive or anything (i think idras a+ was most impressive in this poll) im just letting u know most people has been dodging...
|
Idra's A+ considering the fact that he basically only played koreans. That's pretty damn impressive.
|
I have no idea how in hell someone can go 56-0, especially against the best foreign competition in the world. Most impressive imo.

700 games really isn't that much if you think about it. You could reach that in 2 weeks at 50 games per day, which if you are driven and dedicated at anything is probably near par. Idra's A+ is obviously impressive, but "foreigner" or no, he is kind of in a class of his own among foreigners now and things like this shouldn't really come as a surprise. He is a good player, but I think everyone already knew that. Yosh has always been good, but I didn't know he was active, and streaks like this are very impressive. Even the very best players are susceptible to cheese, and it's very hard to maintain long streaks on ladders (even more so than top leagues at times) because you don't know the players you are playing against, so you don't know what to expect. Hat's off to Yosh, because he must be playing ridiculously solid and safe so as to defend all the cheese but somehow still able to keep up with people who play standard every single game. Smells like he's been practicing .
And not to bash TSL or anything, but the format is kind of corrupt; any system when you get to choose your opponents is just BEGGING to be abused in so many ways.

wtf, cant believe so many guys voted 57-0
imo A+ vs koreans is far more impressive than 57-0 vs non-koreans, dont u guys remember how testie managed to do 100-0 on pgtour? (yea he picked map and matchup, but anyway, 57-0 isnt that hard, every top foreigner can achieve this if he avoid playing good koreans)
1st spot is for mamon for ~710 games now, thats really sick

yeah no one expected it but :
NO HE DID NOT DESERVED THE 2 SPOT BECAUSE HE WAS DODGING TO GET THERE. Dunno how to emphasize it enough unless you are Morrow himself

MorroW will rape your family and then, with a malevolent smile, feast upon the the carcasses of their ravaged bodies.

Haha, yeah, gotta agree with Chill, that is just sick. Remember a guy half a year ago (?) named "50gamesaday" or something streaming here, didn't last for long, nor did he play even close to 50 if i remember correctly. That's a sick amount, no matter what people say.
