▲ I’m happy that I won. However, I thought I would lose because I was careless. I won’t play this way again.

▲ I want to play in more matches, but my team has a lot of good players, so there are players who can’t play much. Therefore, I’m rather happy about the situation.
- You’ve been playing only against Zergs recently
▲ Recently, I’ve been doing well in the matchup so I think my coach aimed for that when he planned out the entries. My opponent was ggaemo, but I just wish I had played against a stronger opponent. I’m strong when I play a Zerg so I would get more attention if I play better players.
- Do you want other Zerg players to play more other thanLuxury?
▲ I think it’s time for him to rest up a bit (laughs). But that’s because other Zergs are strong too. However, the rest of us are coming out to play equally, so that’s alright. I think the coaching staff is doing well deciding who comes out when.
- Because you have strong players, you must not have too much pressure playing your games
▲ I can prepare the matches without much pressure. However, I had a little concern today. If I won, we would have won 3-0, but if I lost,Jaedong would have come out. It’s not that Luxury is worse, but Jaedong is such a strong opponent to face.
- Do you want to come out against MBC Heroes?
▲ MBC is doing really well lately. If I do get to play, I’ll try my hardest to win (laughs). Because they barely use a Zerg, I don’t know if I will be able to come out (laughs).
-Anything else you want to say?
▲ The headquarters bought us new blankets and books. I thank them so much. And Firefist is in MSL, so I want him to advance and teamkill Stats. If that happens, KT will go to round of 8 no matter what. Also, it was Flash’s 1000th day since debut, so the fans sent us a lot of food. I thank them for the food.

▲ Today’s entry was good. I predicted that we would do well, and that became true. 815 was playing the first game, so I thought that we could take it 3-0 if he won.
-Did you want to play Jaedong in the ace match?
▲ I wanted to at some point. However, I don’t know why but I think we’ll face each other a lot from now. I’m just happy that we won 3-0 today.
- You set a new record for 18 consecutive wins against Terran
▲ I never would have thought of such number. I didn’t know that I would come this far even when I was at a 10-game winning streak. But every time I get a win, I feel like I grow stronger.
- Do you feel prepared for a 20-game winning streak?
▲ No one has done that in the past. I’m just happy that I’m a step closer. If I do achieve such feat, I think I’ll be happy as the first one.
- People are talking about who will break your vT streak.
▲Sea is doing well so I want to face him. He mentions me a lot in his interviews and he accepts me for doing well. Because he’s a great player, I want to play him.
- Coincidentally, your next opponents are MBC
▲ The coaching staff plans out the entry so we’ll have to see. I won’t be disappointed to play other players. During the 18 games, I don’t think I’ve met anyone bad. I’m so much happier when I win against a strong opponent. I don’t want to dodge my game against Sea.
- You couldn’t get a 100-win interview at the CJ match because your team lost
▲ I wanted to do it, but I was disappointed that I couldn’t. However, we overcame the defeat so I’m okay with it. It’s not a big problem. We just have to keep moving forward.
- Can’t you just do a 101-win interview?
▲ I didn’t have anything special to say at the 100-win interview. I just wanted to thank my fans. Yesterday was my 1000th day as a progamer. I think it’s a special time for me recently. I’m not letting my guards down and I am trying harder, so I hope you keep cheering me on.
- Anything else you want to say?
▲ We had so much food at my 1000th day. But I couldn’t even thank the people who brought me food. They just left the food and left because we were in practices. ▲ Ever since the past, I have been prepared well for vP matches in Heartbreak Ridge. I was confident that I would win if I didn’t let my guard down. However,BackHo had prepared a lot himself. I could have lost if he had played like he always does, but I won because I prepared for the attack well in game. I’m also happy that I didn’t let Jaedong come out in 4th set
- Your all-win streak has been ended at the last game
▲ I think I would have felt better if I won. However, I made a lot up for my mistakes in the past game. I didn’t care much about my perfect record but instead took the game as a measurement of my practices and how I can improve. I had only thought of my potential improvements, but due to the last game, I was able to come up with more definite ways.
- Are you happy your gameplay today?
▲ There were many bad parts as well. However, there are things I did well on as well. I’m trying not to think negatively about it, but I’m disappointed that I couldn’t put storms into good use. My storms last game against Effort weren’t that good either. I give my storms 0 points (laughs).
- You’re playing the rank 2 team, MBC
▲ I don’t have someone in my mind. They’re all good, so I don’t want to face one specific person. However, if I get sent out, I’ll definitely win.
-You were shaken by the dark templar
▲ I never faced that strategy in during practice. I was expecting someone else. However, I played the game out well so the game didn’t end with the dark templar. I was really surprised when it came to me.
-You seemed to have gotten the advantage after pushing 7 o’clock expansion, but things became tense again
▲ Because I had to block a dark templar early on, my expansion was late as well as my tech, so I couldn’t do anything. Even when I pushed 7 o’clock expo, my opponent still had his army so it was hard to decrease the margin from the beginning. I had reavers, but my high templar count was low, and I thought I would lose from losing the reavers. But thankfully, BackHo didn’t have observers so I was able to block with my dark templar.
- Do you think you’ll do even better in R2?
▲ I do think I will do better in R2. As for the last game, I lost because I lacked something and I found the definite source of my mistake. I can forget about losses easily. My loss helped me out a lot.
-Anything else you want to say?
▲ I thank my team Protoss players for helping me practice. I thank the coaching staff for always working so hard. I also thank the people who brought food yesterday. It was good

▲ 이겨서 기쁘기는 하다. 하지만 너무 빨리 방심해서 질 수도 있었다고 생각한다. 다음부터는 이렇게 하지 말아야겠다는 생각이 든다.
- 3전 전승을 기록하고 있다.
▲ 경기에 많이 나가면 좋다. 하지만 팀에 잘하는 선수가 많아서 못 나가는 선수들이 더 많다. 그래서 현재 상황에도 나름대로 만족을 하고 있다.
- 계속 저그전만 하고 있는데.
▲ 저그전 성적이 최근에 좋아서 감독님이 엔트리를 짜실 때 그 부분을 고려하신 것 같다. 상대가 김경모 선수였는데 더 강한 선수와 경기를 했으면 좋았을 뻔 했다. 저그전에 자신이 있기 때문에 잘하는 선수는 이기면 더 많은 주목을 받을 수 있기 때문이다.
- 박찬수 외의 저그 선수들의 출전 기회가 늘어났으면 하는 바람은 없는가.
▲ 이제 (박)찬수가 조금 쉴 때가 된 것 같다(웃음). 다른 저그들도 강하기 때문이다. 그래도 찬수 외에는 골고루 출전하고 있기 때문에 괜찮다. 코칭스태프에서 적절한 전략으로 저그 선수들을 잘 배치하고 계신 것 같다.
- 에이스 선수들이 강력하기 때문에 출전 기회를 잡으면 부담감이 덜할 것 같다.
▲ 굉장히 편안하게 경기를 준비할 수 있다. 하지만 오늘은 조금 부담이 있었다. 내가 이긴다면 3:0을 생각했지만 패배했다면 이제동 선수가 출전했을 것이다. 찬수를 못 믿는 것이 아니라 이제동 선수가 워낙 강력했기 때문이 이런 생각을 했다.
- 다음 MBC게임전에 출전하고 싶은 욕심이 있는지.
▲ 요즘 MBC게임이 정말 잘하고 있다. 만약 출전하게 된다면 꼭 이길 수 있도록 노력하겠다. MBC게임은 2저그를 거의 사용하지 않는다. 그래서 출전을 확신할 수 없겠다(웃음).
- 더 하고 싶은 말이 있다면.

▲ 엔트리는 코칭스태프가 짜주는 것이기 때문에 나와봐야 안다. 염보성 선수 뿐만 아니라 다른 선수와 맞붙어도 좋을 것 같다. 18연승을 하는 동안 만나지 못한 테란이 없는 것 같다. 강적을 만나서 이겼을 때 더 기쁘다. 다음 경기에서 염보성 선수와의 경기를 피하고 싶은 생각은 없다.

- 시즌 8승에 성공했는데.
▲ 예전부터 단장의능선 프로토스전 연습은 많이 되어 있는 상태였다. 방심하지 않으면 이길 수 있다는 자신감이 있었다. 그런데 (손)찬웅이가 준비를 많이 해왔다. 평소에 하던대로 했다면 끝날 수도 있었는데 잘 대처해서 이겼다. 이제동 선수가 4세트에 있었는데 나오지 못하게 만들어서 만족스럽다.
- 전승 행진이 지난 경기에서 끝났는데.

- 오늘 경기력은 마음에 드는가.
▲ 오늘 안 좋은 점도 있었다. 하지만 잘했던 부분도 있다고 생각한다. 안 좋게 생각하지 않으려고 한다. 다만 스톰을 제대로 사용하지 못한 점은 아쉽다. 지난 김정우 선수와의 경기에서도 스톰이 좋지 않았다. 오늘 스톰 점수는 빵점이다(웃음).
- 2위 MBC게임과의 맞대결이 예정되어 있는데.
▲ 딱히 맞붙고 싶은 마음은 없다. 다들 잘하기 때문에 누구와 맞붙고 싶다는 생각은 하지 않았다. 다만 내가 출전하게 된다면 꼭 이기겠다.
- 다크템플러에 흔들렸는데.
▲ 그런 패턴을 연습 때 당해보지 않았다. 다른 플레이를 예측했기 때문이다. 그래도 즉흥적으로 플레이에 변화를 시켰기 때문에 다크템플러에 경기가 끝나지 않았다고 생각한다. 다크템플러가 왔을 때 깜짝 놀랐다.
- 7시 멀티를 밀고 유리해진 것 같았는데, 다시 팽팽한 상황이 되기도 했다.
▲ 초반에 다크템플러를 막고 보니까 내가 멀티도 느리고, 테크트리로 어떻게 할 수 없는 상황이 되었더라. 7시를 밀었어도 상대가 한방 병력이 있는 상황이었기 때문에 격차를 좁히기가 힘들더라. 리버가 있었지만 하이템플러 숫자가 부족했고, 스톰에 리버를 쉽게 잃으면서 불리하다는 생각이 들기도 했다. 찬웅이에게 옵저버가 없는 것 같아서 운 좋게 다크템플러로 공격을 막을 수 있었다.
- 2라운드에서 더 잘할 수 있을 것 같은가.
▲ 2라운드에서 더 잘할 수 있을 것 같은 생각이 든다. 지난 경기에서는 내가 부족해서 진 것이고 패인이 정확하게 분석이 되더라. 패배는 금방 잊을 수 있었다. 지난 경기 패배는 오히려 큰 도움이 됐다.
- 마지막으로 하고 싶은 말이 있다면.
▲ 연습을 도와준 팀원 프로토스들에게 고맙다는 말을 하고 싶다. 항상 코칭스태프가 수고해주시는데 너무 감사드린다. 어제 (이)영호 갤러리 분들이 야식을 보내주셨는데 너무 맛있게 먹었다. 감사드린다는 말을 하고 싶다.
