Besides, how blind is the league? Having legitimate free agency would give the sport so much more interest.

It would probably be better for the kid to retire than be cock blocked by Oz and these absolutely TERRIBLE FA rules. KeSPA needs to learn to do some damn research before radically changing the way something works. This is not the way Free Agency is supposed to work.

Oz is so damn greedy and they should of jumped all over the supposed 170-180 million won JD and family were willing to sign for and kiss his feet. I would stop giving 2 shits about sc and wait till sc2 comes out if JD isnt playing anymore since who really wants to see Effort carrying the zerg. Fuck that. In the end im pretty sure kespa wont allow JD to retire and will make sure he signs with some team and resolve this since he generates too much cash for them. I'm hoping Jaedong would quit too. If he quits I'm sure DogSPA/Hwaesung will shit their pants and finally increase the salary for him because anything under 200k is clearly underpaid. If Jaedong doesn't quit, things will look much worse: - Hwaesung can pay him whatever they want and he can't even neg it up. Hell it would be even lucky if the bosses kept their 140k offer. - Other progamers will never dare to do the same thing which makes this job even shittier. - Fans will be so angry and it will hurt progaming sooner or later. The overall quality of the games and leagues now are still good thanks to the great pool of players, but who knows if in the next seasons things get worse (because of some crap maps, repetitive gameplay, mirror finals, Korea gets into FIFA World Cup quarter finals and stealing all the focus etc.). Many people may just decide to stop following Starcraft all together.

It's like because you care about your team, that same team can rob you blind.

He'll be the Rosa Parks of e-sports nerds.
