- Jaedong wants to stay with his team & friends and in a place where he feels save, money seems to be no issue as he is downplaying the rumours about him getting overworked (wich is probably easier to say for him after the rush of another starleague) - Parents support their son on his path, probably realised that a progamers career is frail, probably compared his salary to that of other progamers and then simply asked for more. Not alot more tough and still certainly less than other big names make. - Hwaseung OZ managers tought about it and responded with a big fat no and a "lets see what you can do on the "free" market. They know it's win-win for them anyway. A 2-times players salary for free or the best starcraft player there is for a "top 10 gamer"-salary. - Other teams don't bid because Jaedong expressed strong desire to stay. Tearing a young boy out of his surrounding might crush his desire to win, make him loose focus and love for the game and worst come to worst render him useless. - KESPA gets heat for another crappy system Conclusion. Jaedong is not Bisu. Jaedong probably is the type of guy that loves his friends and feels very safe with them. Money talk is something he can ignore since it doesnt matter if he gets more money, it's piling up anyway and he allready has everything he wants right now.

He only switched over to SK Telecom because MBC decided they wanted a lil cash instead of the best protoss player in the game.

Money talk is something he can ignore since it doesnt matter if he gets more money, it's piling up anyway and he allready has everything he wants right now. I would have to disagree. In my opinion, KeSPA is the primary source of this bullshit. The only reason the Hwaseung's team manager (or who ever deals with salaries) is being a douche and putting up only 140m won is because that is exactly enough to scare away the other teams, then Jaedong can only negotiate with OZ. If KeSPA went the "do what you want" route: - Jaedong's parents can talk as long as they wish with the OZ salary manager. Also, because there is no bs rules, OZ will be more obliged to keep Jaedong, as it is going to be way cheaper to buy Jaedong from OZ. Did you know that will cost teams atleast 500m won to buy Jaedong? That is his salary + the fees to his original team. - After the negotiations are done, everyone is happy. This is all KeSPA's fault, and as a result, everyone else is getting screwed over.

might as well get rid of the system and go back to the old 'i give you more money, come over' style of 'free agency' if this continues next year whats the point of reporting on it when no one is going to move anywhere
