I think he didn't go by month, and counted his age by year.

Wow, i just watched his games vs. HiyA and Anytime. While they weren't the most amazing games ever, he definately seemed to "know what he was doing", which a lot of newish players don't. Who knows, maybe he IS 5th bonjwa.

In Korean age you just go by year. So as soon as the new (lunar) year starts, everyone gets a year older. For him, 2009-1988 = 21, then +1 for some stupid reason gives you 22. After his birthday rolls around he'll be 21 regular age, but still 22 Korean age. So Korean age can be either +1 or +2, depending on if the person has had their birthday yet.
Took me a long time to figure that out lol, so when I was in Korea I just lied about my age.
