3. [Kor]Zeus (P) > ChRh (T) - Gaema Gowon -> Zeus qualifies for Duel Tournament.
4. [EroS]~TT (P) > Sonic)Black (Z) - Neo Bifrost
5. ChRh (T) > [EroS]~TT (P) - Neo Forbidden Zone -> ChRh qualifies for Duel Tournament
Zeus has been around a while now, but really hasn't made much noise other than in the KPGA. I actually didn't give him much of a chance in this Group. He's strong on island maps (as are most decent toss users), but that would only become a factor if he got to play in the fifth and final game on Neo Forbidden Zone. Things didn't look very good with the always dangerous Sonic)Black in the way. And even if he got past Black, what chance did a fair-to-middlin' Protoss player have against the sure-to-advance ChRh? Well, as it turns out, quite a bit. Here's what I found out about Zeus yesterday watching OGN: Jun DOMINATES ChRh in competitions. Dunno why, he just does. And he proved it again - quite handily, I might add. Choi never had a chance. Now if only ChRh gets stuck in the same group again in the Duel Tournament...
And yeah, [EroS]~TT's still a newb and he CRUMBLED under ChRh's methodical onslaught. But he won his match v Black in style: 2 forward gates just outside Black's main - gets spotted even before they warp in by a lord - TT's in trouble, Black's sunkened his main then gets zerglings quick - TT burns in a pylon to block Black's main and adds one zealot - Black takes his lings around the back door to either attack TT's main or take out the 2 forward gates - the lings get slowed by some lots parked along the rear lane - TT counters and sends half dozen zealots and 3 probes to the hill natural overlooking Black's main min patch - cannon rush! - sunkens at main start slicing at the warping-in cannons and Black rallies all his drones and zerglings in a last-ditch effort to break TT's maneuver - TT defends with zealots and probes while furiously cancelling and re-warping his cannons (must've cancelled 3 or 4 times at least before he got the placement right) - cannons finally settle in and it's game over. TT really adapted nicely once his forward gates got exposed so fast. A nice, quick game of micro-intensive cat-and-mouse, move-and-countermove. Exciting stuff. My short summary really doesn't do this match justice. It showed SC at its best, in all the ways War3 is not - yet.
