Luxury vs JangBi - an amazing comeback by Luxury after Jangbi took his third base out. Great macro and great mutalisk sniping with mass hydra. Luxury vs Stork - Stork didn't get enough cannons and Luxury's 3 hatch muta into hydraswitch broke him. Luxury vs Bisu - 5pool, Bisu's pylon to main was quite late... not sure why that is. Anyway, after the 5pool Bisu had like 12 probes and Luxury had 8 drones with a second base coming. I wouldn't say Luxury won because of the opening, but yeah it had something to do with it. Luxury vs Best - loss Luxury vs Kal 1 - Luxury opened 9pool speed into 6 lings and double expand. Kal went sair Reaver, Luxury defended it beautifully and completely overran him with mass hydras afterwards. Luxury's macro was amazing in this game as well. Luxury vs Kal 2 - Kal went for a cannon rush, Luxury defended it beautifully by glitching drones through the minerals by getting to the cannons. Then he ran some lings past Kal's cannons, killed probes, finished with mutas Luxury vs Jaehoon - Luxury went for 9-pool speed into a ~12 speedling runby. You could say that that's cheesy, but on a flat map like Medusa I actually consider it a standard opening. Luxury managed to sneak about 5 lings inside and killed numerous probes to seal the victory. Luxury vs Nbs - loss Sooo about most of the games being cheesy... I'm going to assume that you're a huge Bisu fan and only watch his games. Am I correct? Uh but... those were ALL best of 1. This is going to be a best of 5, something you obviously know is quite a different beast. Remember Luxury is that guy that went mass ling against Archons It's improved sure, his real test will be against a protoss in 5 though.

Sorry if my post sounded a little harsh or anything, I didn't mean to pick on you. I just took the last post mentioning the "hiding thing" to quote

I wouldn't say Zero is a bad player because of this series, but it certainly grounds the hopes of Zero's fans.

Apparently you're not allowed to have a bad day or you're shit. Considering how much these guys train, and that Zero has had ONLY ZvZ matchups in this MSL, except for one game vs bisu, while luxury has had both MSL and OSL with every different MU to train for, you'd expect he'd do a little better than this.

I watched it this morning so maybe my memory is a little off, but I remember his overlord having vision of ALL of Lux's lings as they left his base, while ZerO had 4 lings at his ramp. He could have laid down a sunken immediately and not taken nearly as much damage, but he did it when they were busting his ramp. When that many zerglings come, you build lings, not drones. The fact that Zero built drones is the best proof that he didn't see all the zerglings come from Luxury's base. Even if he did, it was too late to use the larvae for something else. Really disappointing play by ZerO.

Maybe you should watch the game again instead of reading interviews. VOD is up on youtube. As I said, Luxury was TRYING to trick ZerO. That doesn't change the fact that ZerO went for his late 4lings without having any scouting information. Maybe he thought Luxury had a hidden expo when he saw no lings at his ramp, but only a short time later he saw the lings running by his overlord. Even if he didn't see them, the latest possible moment in the game where ZerO definitely saw ALL the lings coming was when they crossed the bridge exiting Luxury's base. If he had immediately placed a sunken by then he'd have been perfectly fine. Btw. I don't even believe that ZerO actually thought there was a hidden expansion. Why would he do that? Just for the hell of it? Destination might be a map where hidden expos are common in ZvZ. But that doesn't justify Luxury basing his strategy on ZerO having a "bad feeling there might be an expo" since he didn't have any valid scouting information. I'd like to hear ZerO's point of view on this.

When FBH got 0-3ed by Bisu it was sad, sure it was only one series but it did show how much FBH still had to go. I wouldn't say Zero is a bad player because of this series, but it certainly grounds the hopes of Zero's fans. Just so happens FBH also knocked Savior out of an MSL in the Ro8. Came home late to check the results and although I was hopeful in ZerO, I wasn't surprised. Although ZerO's mutalisk control may be amazing, in terms of all the other quirks in ZvZ, Lux has got him topped.

Luxury tricked him by hiding his first six zerglings, but ZerO's overlord had vision of them when they left his base to go attack. Nice strategy by Lux, but poor on ZerO's part.

There are just people, who (JUSTIFIABLY SO) think Zero has the potential to be at that level someday, based on how well he plays at his best. Do you remember his game earlier in this MSL where he knocked out Bisu? That was some amazing StarCraft.

I don't know if you should expect more from Zero here. People tend to forget that after JD's ZvZ, Lux is next best in a class by himself. I hate to point at ELOs because they're just statistics but... go look at ZvZ ELO rankings/peaks.
