Hi! I'm OliPatrick, StarCraft Broodwar caster from Latam.
During 2023 I have held two StarCraft Broodwar online tournaments without registration fee for Latin America, donating 500 USD as a base prize pool and supported by a community donation system. In the first edition we have raised the sum of $2879.42 USD based on donations. For the second season we have raised the sum of $2,466 USD also with 500 USD donated by me and the rest with the contribution of the community of StarCraft fans in Latin America.

All prizes have been paid in cash to winners.
For this third edition, and always seeking to promote greater competitiveness in the tournament, we have consulted with the community and they wish to extend participation in the tournament to players from Canada and the United States.

Short summary:
- You must register using the form available at https://copalatamstarcraft.com/inscripciones/
- Ladder available from Saturday June 1 to June 16 in Shield Battery. For players from the US or Canada they must play in the "Americas" Ladder.
- You must play a minimum of 30 games.
- You can only play with one race (The one selected at your registration in the web).
- You must use your most recognized nickname.
- At the end of the ladder, the best 8 players will advance to the tournament.
- The main tournament games will be played live with broadcast on Monday/Wednesday and Friday nights, the exact time will be personally communicated to the players.
I am sure that we can raise a significant amount for the pricepool since we receive donations in each live broadcast and it will be an honor to be able to broadcast the games of the best Latin players facing the best representatives from the United States and Canada.

Hi @olipatrick, I want to play in the tournament but there is a field in the signup I dont understand asking for an ID number.
"Número de documento de identidad (Identification document number)" What does this refer to? Surely not SIN/SSN? That seems like a bit much to play in a starcraft tournament..

Shieldbattery tiene la opción de crear ligas, y automaticamente crea el sistema ladder, de la gente que está en la liga.
por el tema de doble registro, es posible que los <no español> se compliquen con el formulario de inscripción. Pero me imagino que preguntarán por aquí o por el discord de shieldbatery.
