In practice, the general population is NOT open to the idea and wrongly assumes that it is a pyramid scheme. That's why you need to be an exceptional salesman to succeed. I have been part of the best network marketing company for about a year before realizing that i had the motivation and the intelligence required but i simply did not have the sales skills. I still have the password to one of the world's top producer online report summary. He's making roughly 50k per month. The success rate right now stands at 0.3%. Meaning that 99.7% of those who get involved will never generate enough income to justify their efforts and time investment. It's really sad because it's a really amazing system when you think about it...but like i said..it's all theory. In practice, the population just doesn't cooperate. That's why pretty much no one is financially free in the world. However, I'm glad to be a stock market genius. Otherwise my network marketing 'failure' would have been really really hard on my mind. Btw, one of the best network marketers in the world was in the same company as me and he was a 24 year-old korean-american making about 100k per month. He could pretty much be Starcrafting all day without worrying about ANYTHING and pretty much living a life of luxury...ahhhhhh.....Destiny.

So it is a magic moneyfountain that can make anyone rich. Admit it's a scam. There might be a product attached to it but it's not the core. The terms douche/sleaze-bag came to the top of my mind.

The company i was operating in was offering services competing in a global market accounting for one trillion dollars annually. And now it's much more ever since they expanded their range of services. So yes, it's the core. On February 04 2009 03:52 KaasZerg wrote: The terms douche/sleaze-bag came to the top of my mind. + Show Spoiler + At least three clues in your message and sig point to Amway, but I might be wrong. I'm guessing the network marketing jargon is pretty widely borrowed by different companies"

Technically these are not all pyramid schemes, but since you probably make more money the more people you recruit (using such transparent tactics as Flash) they are indeed pyramid schemes. Ultimately, if you make (lol, 100k per month) playing SC without constantly doing any real work then you must be just feeding off of the 99.7% that are below you ;p

A bit contradictory... if i bring something new and informative to the topic, fresh raw numbers, how can it be an unnecessary bump? I was going to start a new thread about Network marketing but i did a little search and found that something was already out there.

If you won't, that's another clue for Amway. Extreme vagueness in the face of direct questions.

There are at least a dozen people on Liquid Poker that can claim that too, and they probably feel better about themselves than a marketer.

Because no one has expressed any interest in the topic in over a year.

Is this Korean dude's name a secret? Why the reluctance to say which business you're talking about?
