I love being Korean. I am a full blooded Korean, but was born in the US. I LOVE IT. For one, it makes it easier to watch VODs...especially on the Nevake youtube channel since they don't include race names and colors like Baezzi does (who took a break from uploading for like a WHOLE WEEK OR SO...GOD FORBID)...so I can just read the names in mirror games.
Also, I can catch little tidbits of what the commentators are saying which really helps in understanding games and whatnot. It also makes me feel like I have some connection to competitive SC.
That's fun 'cause I'm pretty white-washed. I can barely speak Korean, I can't keep up in a Korean conversation, and I'd probably be treated like a foreigner in Korea.
BUT...that's all beside the point.
For tonight...the best part about being Korean is that I can drink MAKGOLLI!!
This shit is pretty fucking bomb. For those who don't know, it's a rice wine. It tastes powdery, like alcohol, a little bit sweet, but in the end, like any other kind of alcohol...ass. Furthermore, it gives the worst hangovers known to man. It's like it absorbs every bit of water in your body, and you wake up wondering why a loving god would come up with something as foolish as alcohol.
BUT...this shit is bomb.
I'm also very...very...very bored.
EDIT
I'm hung over.

meh you dont even need to be able to read hangul to figure out which player is which, b/c the one in the left booth is the one with the name on the left and vice versa.
also they always show one CC, then pan to that player, and vice versa.
And if you know a liiiiiiitle bit of hangul then you can remember what the player names are and figure out whcih one as the appropriate last name etc.

Wow...I didn't know all that about the player names and camera shit...thank you, haji.

Yup! One of those novelty-value drinks to be honest. Just stick to soju+beer.

Learning to read hangul fluently is really not hard at all. Everyone should do it cause it's so easy and the pronunciation is a lot easier to understand compared to romanization. I am studying Korean at the moment and learning hangul didn't even take a week, it's like 0,01% of the effort learning the language.

I just turned 21 4 days ago and I've been to the liquor store twice since then. Oh what a life it is to be finally legal!
